Today started off as one of the best days I’ve had in a long time.  A friend I haven’t seen in about 2 years came to visit me at my house this morning, and we ended up going to the beach for old times sake.  A beautiful day here in Indiana at Lake Michigan, a few beers and babes, tossing some footballs and just enjoying a stress free time.

While enjoying all of these fun activities, someone had broke into my car.  I barely, and I mean barely, had my windows cracked but it was enough for them to work their way in without having to actually break anything.  I feel so violated.  I’ve never had anything important stolen from me before.  The only thing I care about is my wallet.  $160 or so of my hard earned money is gone,  my ID, and a few cards are gone as well as a few irreplaceable photos.  I am so angry and I need to stop blaming myself for leaving the windows cracked and place the blame solely on the lowlife who did this to me.  :cigar    Thanks for allowing me to vent on here everyone.  I’ll have better days to come

Wow that sucks man. Hope you get to recover all of your belongings. This has happened to me before except they ended up taking my car instead :/

Thanks.  Everything is replaceable except a few photos.  I used to carry a letter my dear friend sent me from Iraq when he was deployed in 2005, two weeks before he was killed.  I am happy I put that in my safe box instead of keeping it in my wallet.  Shit like that you can’t replace with money ya know.

Sorry that happened to you. I have had people try to break into my service vehicle not knowing I was still in it and attempted carjackings when in the wrong part of town at the wrong time of day/night. I have to believe that it is true what they say about karma and these lowlifes need to get bit hard in the ass somewhere down the line. Nothing so frustrating as to work hard and mind your own business only to have someone try and take your hard earned belongings or precious memories away. Sending some good karma your way…new week’s gonna be better.

That’s a drag about the pictures.  Were they digital?  If not, were there any negatives?  It is just good that no one was hurt; although it is a drag you lost the cash, they print more every day.  Call the CC companies about your cards and you wont be responsible for any charges.  The violation is consuming, I know, but people are motivated by greed, by drug addiction, even by coercion–just chalk it up to a hard lesson I suppose .

The saddest part is every time this happens we all lose a little, we all have a bit less faith in humanity as a whole.

I lost some irreplaceable photos and other keepsakes a few years ago during Hurricane Ivan,so I can kind of relate to what you went through today.

To say it’s a shitty feeling would be an understatement!!

I hope the slimeball or slimeballs that took your photos get whats coming to them :hammertime: :hammertime: :hammertime: :hammertime:. Such  scumbags they are !!

Thanks everyone.  I learned a lesson yesterday.  I don’t care how hot it gets, I’m keeping the windows closed completely.  Thieves are opportunist.  And Orthene, thanks for the good karma, it’s already coming this way!  I landed a little extra side work this morning for some extra cash!   Well, off to go earn that back.  Thanks again everyone  🙂
