Will they be the death of us with there unknown long-term effects?
There are many folks with 7+ years of use in good health. Anything you smoke has some price to pay.

I agree with Acid, long term blender here with no ill effects, yearly check ups. Get a vaporizer or edibles and all is good. Welcome to Spiced.

The concern in this case would not be naphthalene itself, but rather 1-aminonaphthalene formed by hydrolysis of the amide bond. This probable cleavage site is unique to the carboxamide and carboxylate cannabinoids, so does not apply to the likes of JWH-018 and AM-2201.
1-aminonaphthalene has long been treated as a putative carcinogen, and those working with it on a regular basis have to wear protective equipment including respirators to minimize exposure. Some of its metabolites have been linked with a higher incidence of certain cancers, particularly bladder cancer, as described in the attached document.
Not exactly ideal for a recreational substance, especially since many cannabinoid users tend to end up using excessive doses at regular intervals and for a prolonged period of time. The chemists have tweaked yet another structure in order to exploit another legal loophole, but sooner or later they’re going to hit on something nasty. If this drug does metabolize into 1-aminonaphthalene and its derivatives in significant quantities then it’s very hard to say what the implications of chronic exposure would be for lifetime risk of cancer. I personally wouldn’t touch this one with a ten foot pole until there’s some ADME data published for it.

The formation of aminonapthalene is hypothetical, because that isnt how these are metabolized. OK, it is possible, but come on.

Dunno honestly, sounds like it could be dead on.. because in my experience with blends this new gen stuff it smells like burning shoes/dyes, the old gen kept the smell of the herbs used in them, like there… derived from dyes 😉
Your month of xp? :nannah:
But your post reassures me ill be fine then, only been blending for a month now
TBH, you may have not even had the new gen, considering who you have purchased from anyways, and what time this month
Definitely a few of them out there that burn a little funky compared to the rest though.
Anyways, welcome to Spiced! :Smokey:
Stick around. Lot to see here! :beers:

Sex and blends both tend to make my eyes glaze up a bit, but only blends give me loogies. Only side effect from the rock and roll is a good headbangin’ headache and mosh pit bruises. ……and ya can quote me in the "stupid things blenders say" thread :biggrin
