Oh wow.  Finally gone, eh?  I used to really like winamp for all the sound shaping you could do with the plugins.

Got frustrated at their seeming ineptitude at integrating the video player correctly, so I switched to VLC for it’s stability and simplicity. 

Miss my plugins, but VLC will play damn near anything without having to fuck with codecs, and that’s a huge plus.

Wow. Sad. I still like the plugins. MilkDrop is nuts.

Very sad day, but most of the original team has long been gone since AOL got involved. I still use Winamp every single day and have been for a very long time. I am sure it will still work for many years along with the plug ins that people have. RIP my friend.

This made me sad. I’ve used it for mp3s since I got my first pc in ’98. Just downloaded it on Saturday in fact after doing a clean install of 7 on my laptop.
