Willie Nelson is going even greener. The 81-year-old black belt who still smokes every day told The Daily Beast he’ll be launching the cannabis-centric brand titled "Willie’s Reserve."

While down at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas, Willie "let it slip" to the reporter that he’s got his marijuana brand in the works. While Willie himself didn’t sit down with the media outlet to discuss his new venture, a spokesperson for the country artist did–and the statements are quite revealing.

And from the sounds of, Willie isn’t just cultivating a brand–he’s cultivating a crop as well. The gist of "Willie’s Reserve" is that the brand will offer a "connoisseur grade" line of cannabis where marijuana is legal. Along with herb, the brand will produce bongs and likely a myriad of cannabis-related, branded accessories.

Fortunately, "Willie’s Reserve" isn’t just a shop–it’s going to also be an activism hub.

    Really he wants it, at the end of the day, to envelop what his personal morals and convictions are. So from the store itself to how they’ll work with suppliers and how things are operated, it’s going to be very reflective of Willie’s life. [The Daily Beast]

The brand hopes to launch "in the next calendar year." Like the Bob Marley venture, Willie himself isn’t actually putting in the work here–he is 81 after all. But his family is in charge of the operation and sounds intent on keeping the Willie integrity intact.
