Nasa plans first 3D printer space launch in 2014

"Imagine an astronaut needing to make a life-or-death repair on the International Space Station," said Aaron Kemmer, the company’s chief executive.

"Rather than hoping that the necessary parts and tools are on the station already, what if the parts could be 3D printed when they needed them?"

And if you break your pipe along the way, you can just print a new one… :steamroller

Yeah sounds like a real nice fairy tale,
  Nasa was defunded by Obama, they don’t have anymore
money to spend. Whatever money is left is being given to muslims
from obama. Can’t wait for some sharia law, see this:
