My gods. Don’t you all wish there were something out there like benzos except non-addictive? Sucks.
I wish there was something simple I could suggest you, JB. :
Kratom
Kratom is definitely addictive.
"You can't buy happiness… but you can buy weed, which is pretty close."
I have never found it to be addictive. But I know others have.

Yeah, I get WD’s from Kratom if I do it daily just like I would anything else.
With Kratom, I find that moderation is key.
No negatives if I’m not doing it constantly… but if I were to try to use to use it as a crutch it would be a problem.

My Prozac Nightmare
I am a judgment broker and I write about many topics. I had a sinus problem that turned out to be a Somatoform disorder caused by stress. The cure was primarily finding out what disease I actually had, and unplugging my phone. I had a painful journey before finding out the truth about what disease I had.
After doctors checked my body completely; I was then sent to a psychiatrist who prescribed Prozac for my sinus problem. I did not see the logic of taking Prozac for a sinus problem, however I trusted my doctor.
The first week, I took one pill per day; and reported to the doctor that it had no effect on me. The doctor told me to take two Prozac pills per day. After the second week, I told the doctor that it had no effect on me, however later I found out that my friends and family were wondering what was wrong with me.
I know many are helped by Prozac and like it, however I had a terrible experience with it. The really bad news came on the third week, when the doctor told me to take three Prozac pills per day. On the third day of taking three pills, I suddenly could not stand up and I could not understand a clock. I could not read or write. I was mentally retarded and emotionally crippled and devastated.
I asked my wife to help me email the doctor what happened to me, and the doctor advised me to go back to two Prozac pills a day. I decided to crush the pills and tossed them into the trash. The stress of not being able to read or write caused my somatoform disorder to go crazy.
The impairment from Prozac peaked more than a month after I stopped taking it. With straight faces, all the doctors told me it takes 2-3 months for Prozac to take full effect, however when you stop taking it; all traces of it leave you within one week.
Every day off Prozac, I improved slightly; so I eventually calmed down. Of course, I could not drive a car (I still do not drive yet). A week after stopping Prozac, I removed some things from my car and suddenly fainted and fell backwards; hitting my head on concrete. Luckily my Son was home to dial 911 because I was knocked out cold and hurt. I was taken to the hospital where they ran every possible test and told me the MRI scan showed a possible brain tumor. Later, a CT scan and another MRI scan showed that I actually did not have a brain tumor. After a week, I was sent home.
I was so glad to be home, however the Prozac and hospital drugs were still in me. I was able to read and write again, however I was not thinking clearly and behaved irrationally. My primary care doctor told me I should get one more CT scan. After that, they kept me there for another week; kept me on dangerous drugs, and I was interviewed by at least a dozen doctors.
Another week of being off Prozac let me use a computer again, and function almost normally; so they let me go home. On my first night home from the hospital, I was very shaky from the powerful drugs they had kept me on. I took an Ambien at night, but for some reason I did not sleep; because I still had some toxic Prozac and other hospital drugs in me. I started to act goofy and could not stand up, so again was taken to the hospital for three more days.
Updated. Queen please read the end of the article about Elavil….
Each day, the effects of Prozac was leaving me, and the awesome me was returning. Only when they sent me home, did they tell me I had a Somatoform disorder. I am getting smarter and healthier every day, and can write articles again; six weeks after stopping Prozac. I no longer get dizzy, and am finally "back".
Occasionally to help clear my sinuses at night, I sometimes enjoy only one 12-ounce beer and one puff of medical grade weed. Doctors say I am an alcoholic even though I drink only one beer some nights. They are wrong, and I find this very moderate combination cleans me out; and makes me feel great, and I am sober and ready to work. I find a single puff of weed and one beer far safer for me than any RX pill.
I was just prescribed Elavil (I am not taking it), one of the very few drugs that one should never use with weed, melatonin, sunlight, or even dental N20. Each day, I am recovering more. I stay totally sober these days, refusing to take any pills. My sinus somatoform disorder is vanishing, and Prozac’s toxic effects are leaving me. That’s one Hell of a ride. I had a bought with Prozac when it first came out and I am glad to be here still. I am so relieved that this journey is almost over for you. You are a great person and the world would be at a loss if you were gone. :beers: :titsout:
It feels good to be running from the devil
Another breath and I'm up another level
It feels good to be up above the clouds
It feels good for the first time in a long time now
Damn jbmac, I can see why you don’t like your Dr’s–they are a bunch of sonsabitches!
Prozac is a mood-altering drug and your psych isn’t allowed to prescribe prozac for your allergies,
only for your brain chemistry, so your psych lied to you. Only your actual Dr can prescribe meds
for your body, the psychs job is to fix your brain. In fact I highly doubt the legality of your regular Dr
even being allowed to up your dose of prozac and he sounds like a fkn liar as well. Sounds to me like
both of your Dr’s have been playing some "russian roulette" with your health. If they tried that on me
I’d turn both of them into the State medical board–No way is anyone supposed to be taking 3 prozac a day,
as the only truthful thing they did tell you is that it takes 6-8 weeks for prozac to be absorbed into your
system and only the bad results of taking prozac are realized before that amount of time. As I have
said in the past, after using prozac myself for 6 weeks I actually had a seizure from taking it, so I know
prozac is bad for me.
I would rat both of these so-called Dr’s out and get new ones, they are obviously not concerned with
your health.
Today I was in the dentist’s chair for 5 hours, got my front 12 teeth replaced, luckily because I raise the PH of my water, add xyletol, and brush and floss often,
all of the teeth could be saved. Cost over 10K. Wife is mad but the pain is gone, and I remind her I’m worth it, but not everyone knows that……..

10k is a small price to pay for no pain. I’m sure I’ll have to do the same type of deal one day in the future. As long as it helps you, it was worth it.
So did you take out a pay plan with the dentist?
I still think you coulda saved a bunch of money & just get a
a new upper/lower plate, but I do suppose it’s nice to have teeth :bus:
