Rapid detox under general anesthesia should be available to all,I believe-not just to well-insured rich assholes.

I had some kinda episode ir spell yesterday.  Got reallly hot n felt like blood sugar was dropping so I drank some juice and ate n extra 2 mgs of suboxone.  Its not easy and wish I could afford a rapI’d detox.

Juice is good for that sugar drop; I would stash a candy bar in the bedside stand as well.

Oxycodone/oxycontin is seriously big business all over the world.  It is a tremendous money maker for big pharma as well as governmental tax agencies.

All: you can easily become physically and psychologically addicted to opiates, even taken as prescribed meds–don’t fool yourself into thinking otherwise.

I have voiced my concerns to my doctor regarding the percs he has me on, and he insists that if taken as prescribed I will not become addicted. Research tells me that doctors are resistant to give narcotics out for longer than a few weeks, but he has had me on these since the end of December. Just when I was feeling good and looking forward to going back to work in the next week or so, my therapy regimen was altered and now I have complications. Today I was told my pain recurrence means I have either: a re-herniation of my disk, a herniation of a neighboring disk, or a blood clot. Waiting on a new MRI to be scheduled at the moment. I was avoiding the pills until the pain kicked me pretty hard to make sure I am not dependant, but since this new wrinkle last week, the pills quit working like they were before. Today they gave me a new scrip and it’s here-we-go-again time. Opiates suck…I wish there was an alternative that was legal and worked.

Took meds on/off for years until the damn docs figured out I had MS- seem to be 2 kinds of docs I run into-those that refuse to give you a script
for more than a few days- if at all-regardless of your pain level or give you anything and as much as you want with
little regard for dependancy. It is VERY frustrating. Opiates do not have much effect on the type of nerve pain I have
most of the time-so I gave up on them long ago- neurontin works better than anything for nerve pain from slipped discs
and the pain from MS-its a type of anti-seizure medication-but works well for this type of pain. You build a tolerance though and have to
up dosage every so often.

Neurontin worked for awhile on the neuropathic pain, but the dosage was being continually upped. Lyrica is quite expensive and the insurance provider balked because the most common of opiates can be had at such decreased expense to them. Lovely.

Oh Orthene dont get me  started on that shit-GRRRRR- insurance company does not want to pay for laser surgery
and fuckin forget a marrow transplant for the MS-
all they want to pay for is narcotics and Phys. therapy and they gave me shit about the
therapy !-3x wk=too much. But I can have all the drugs I care to get hooked on.

Oh,and did I mention insurance costs me over 10,000 a year ???
Not including deductibles & co-pays—75.00 a pop for therapy on my shoulder/neck out of pocket.
Fuck me.

It is the last .5-0 that I really think gonna be rough.  I have these deep seated inner fears of laying in bed, miserable, in a constant state of panic n I just kinda feel that death is looming over me.  Bones gonna ache like a bitch,  especially the broken left leg n knee.  Its gonna feel like its impossible to lay in a comfortable position.

Sounds a lot like benzo withdrawals beside the pain.
I know you got this, though, man. You seem like the type who faces your fears. You will overcome and prevail.
