im fine with whatever. the current privacy is great but i would like visability on a serch engine too. more posters are good.
my only concern with my privacy is DEA not other posters…..so how do u fix that issue?? i dont think we can :weedpass:
the only way to do that would be to go underground and not allow anyone to register. Even invite only isn’t 100% safe

Now that I think about it, this could be a good idea to open up forums a little more. Like a few previous posters have said, this site will probably die if we don’t get more members sooner or later.
Opening the Blend section to public could bring people in for sure, it def could be risky business, but if we want the site to grow I’m not sure if their is many more options.
Maybe just open the "Blend Reviews" section, leave the rest to registered users?????

I’m liking Dub’s ideas thus far:
make reviews google searchable but require the users to register in order to view them
open the review section, lock the rest.
Things like the Vendor Megathread should not be viewable by non-members though.
I’m going to PM a few vendors and get their asses over to this thread or at least get their input.
If we open up to the public, would we have to change the way we speak about spice; as in no wording about ‘takin’ a hit’ or smoking spice; in any way referring about ‘ingesting’.
I guess my question is: Do we have to change anything in the way we word reviews?

open it up periodically but you must prepare for this long term growth by sustaining it with some sort of donation/ad fee model. just saying it would be a shame to fill up the ranks but be unable to pay the server fees that such a big and active forum creates. Like in real life, it’s a blast having everyone over to partying, eat, drink, and chill. That is till the bills come due. Sorry this prolly only makes any kind of sense to me right now. just back from the lab doing QC on new blend!

is there a point in having advertising though? all vendors that are approved by admin can advertise on here for free. Maybe we could give vendors that pay more advertising privileges or something like that. I don’t know if we need flashy banners, they don’t really pull the customers in, the reviews do.
