New York approves 'poor door' proposal

The rich and the poor will soon be segregated at some high-rise apartment buildings in New York City.

The so-called "back door" proposal was approved by the city, according to a report over the weekend.

The proposal will allow a prominent real estate developer to build a separate set of doors for people living in affordable housing units. The idea is to have less-wealthy people enter through a back alley entrance, so that people paying for nicer apartments can enter through the prominent front entrance.
