This is really my bro-in-law’s story so I will try to tell it as he told it. Here goes:

"Craig and I just finished our (contractor) job done and the site owner dropped off the check. Site owner says the bank is on the corner of Sterns and Lewis, open til 5, and can cash the check out since it’s that bank’s check. Smoked out before leaving the area and noticed it was getting close to 5, so minor panic mode sets in. Run into the building, and it’s a nice building but I didn’t see tellers right off. I see a guy wearing a white shirt and a tie -you know….kinda looks like a bank manager.

Me: Is it too late to cash this check?

Banker-looking guy: What kind of check? What’s it for?

Me: We just finished a job and the site owner’s office is right down the road and he said this was his bank and you could cash this check."

Banker-looking guy: This isn’t a bank; it’s the Smith Road Animal Hospital.  Bank’s at the next intersection………..at STERNS and Lewis.
