Possessing a little marijuana no longer criminal in Rhode Island

BOSTON (Reuters) – A law decriminalizing possession of small amounts of marijuana went into effect in Rhode Island on Monday after the state last year became the 15th in the United States to enact such legislation.

Governor Lincoln Chafee signed the legislation into law in June but it did not take effect until Monday, a move intended to allow time for officials to work out procedures, said state Representative John Edwards, a co-sponsor of the measure.

Let’s just say everyone (states) starts doing this (hypothetically) – would having mj in your system and failing drug tests for THC be an issue? Would it be taken off?

I suppose it would be up to the employer, but if it isn’t illegal anymore, per se, would employers begin taking this off of the substance list one could lose a job over?
I’m starting to realize there is so much more to just saying it’s legal, decriminalized, what-have-you. It would really begin to bring up all kinds of new questions.
I myself have quite a bit, ie: How would one go about mailing it in a perfect legalized state? Can they do this yet? I seen where tetralabs ships, so this made me ponder USPS in general when shit starts going down in each state. Limited quantities maybe? Will we sooner or later be able to import straight dank from another country if we wish?  :pimp

Perplexing…  :ineeddrugs

Keep in mind it is still a class 1 narcotic according to the federal government, regardless of what the states say.  All of the state’s actions are good progress, but I won’t be satisfied until it is fully legal.  Also, I can’t risk a bad drop until it is legal as well, so as I said, I am glad for the progress but there is still a long way to go.

It does seem that day by day we see state by state either decriminalize, legalize medical or just plain legalize. Right?

Eventually the dinosaur will fall. We just gotta watch out for it’s tail as it dies off.
