And now the south is starting to come around… :yeahboy:

Yesterday at 11 A.M. in Atlanta, Georgia Governor Nathan Deal smoothly signed "Haleigh’s Hope Act" into state law, making medical marijuana oils legal for a variety of patients in Georgia.
Patients with ailments ranging from epilepsy to Cabcer Sickle Cell Disease to Parkinson’s Disease (among a few other serious ailments) now become eligible for the non-psychoactive (low in THC, high in CBD) medical marijuana oils. Once given medical marijuana cards, patients will be allowed to carry as much as 20 ounces of the oil.
According to WSBTV, lawmakers believe up to 500,000 Georgians could qualify for this medical marijuana.
The first fortunate recipient of a Georgia medical marijuana card was none other than Haleigh Cox, the young girl who spurred the bill into law:

The only caveat? There’s not a single CBD plant or any oil production currently in place, so the wait for these oils continues. And that wait will likely be at least a year, as the governor plans to introduce a bill next year to allow growing.
Hopefully long before then the CARERS Act, which would allow cannabis oils to cross state lines and benefit patients in need in states without production, goes into effect and gives Georgia’s patients the aid they need.
Obviously not as far as I would like it to go, but every bit counts… :horns up
