Drunk Woman Arrested After Driving With 15ft Tree In Her Bonnet

A woman who was seemingly so drunk that she failed to notice the giant tree in her bonnet has been arrested.

Mayann Christy was pulled over by police in Illinois after they spotted her with the 15ft tree attached to the front of her car.

The 54-year-old didn’t quite remember where she had hit the tree, but had simply carried on driving regardless.

When police pulled her over they found that the air bags inside the vehicle had also been deployed – presumably when she crashed.

Roselle Police posted pictures of the car on their Facebook page, writing: “Yet another reason why you should not drink and drive.”

And this one is a pretty major reason, too.

Christy, from Spruce Court, Schaumburg, was arrested for drink driving in the incident, that took place in January.

The Facebook post has been shared more than 21,000 times as commenters reacted with amazement that Christy managed to carry on driving with the tree in her grill.
