Suddenly there is more blends available now.

Yes, there is lots more & I really believe it is cause of my vast overuse,
I am talking about sitting around for 12-18 hours a day & smoking MB blends all that time.
I was prolly using enough to make 8-10 people happy Every Day-All Day long
Thanks for all the well wishes
These BP meds are already making me confused & dopey much like being stoned

Damn seems all a lot of us blenders are suffering consequences that are bad.

you said it, TB!

Making me think seriously about quitting for good after I finish my current (small) stash and samples from Hatter…  One’s health is THE most important thing – if you don’t feel well, you have *nothing!*  I don’t need blends by any means, I am solely a recreational user, so thankfully it wouldn’t be difficult for me to put down altogether.

When I have them they are for pain management first, anxiety management second, then for recreation…

Im glad they found your high blood pressure early and can treat it.  It probably has nothing to do with blends but you never know.  I remember people quitting MJ back in the 80’s because they found out they had elevated blood pressure, but I have a feeling that was unrelated too.

Funny thing about it is the friday before I went in fo surgery (before I ran out of MB)  my Dr took my blood pressure and it was normal. That night I used the last
of my Chocolate Tide and then ran out. A couple of days after running out, I reported to the hospital for surgery & my BP had magically risen from 145/90 to well
over 200+/100+. That is what has me thinking that the withdrawal from blend is what is causing my BP to be so high. Today after taking 3 Dif blood pressure meds
my bp is currently 175/116. So Ngls, what do you think could have caused this? An entire hospital could not figure out any other reason apart from my withdrawals
from blend. They also kept me overnight & performed a battery of tests. Keep wishing folks, you will find out for yourself, if you wait long enough & use too much like
I have been.

Damn man, sucks but at least you found out sooner than later!  Good choice on taking a break, I know the feeling over doing way too much and too often! Also sucks having to take meds to keep it down, I had this issue when I was younger but it was caused from my anger issues and always had high levels n had to pop those BP meds daily. Good luck to ya bro and hope you get it figured out!  I can say I never got any physical issues from blends, mostly psychological.

for real chicka, it sooo not worth it.. special if ur not worried abt drug tests and can have R MJ…….

I don’t have to worry about drug tests, so that is a blessing.  I haven’t smoked MJ because I get such a hangover the next day.  But I could if I really wanted to quit the blends for good, and just use MJ occasionally, so long as I planned for a "rest" day.

However, there is something else standing in my way…I have NO idea where to get MJ around here, and I can’t just go asking anyone! LOL

I’m gonna jump in here in you don’t mind ’cause this is an issue I’ve gone thru and somewhat figured out. I’ve been a high-energy, high-anxiety person all my life (50+). My BP always was a little high, but, like you guys, I also found out that spicing can raise the BP. I found out by a Dr. visit with 188/150. Luckily it was in Jan. and I quickly thought of Robitussen that I took the day before (NOT) and said that musta been it.  :biggrin  After a lot of experiment I found that it’s best to wind down a good week before a Dr. appt.; I go from hit to hit as NEEDED at first. Then one at morn., noon, and bedtime; winding down to NUTTIN’ by 48, 36 hrs before appt., and all was fine. In between Dr. visits I blaze away!  :smokebanana :Smokey: :fatty :smoking-hookah:  I am vegetarian (which helps BP) and keep active so my body cleans itself. Gotta move as much as possible!  :dance Ingest lots of greens… :weedspin I just burned some PupleNug petals about 5 min. ago and my BP is 119/70. I’ve stayed high and pretty darn healthy since I was old enough to and don’t regret a thing. If the BP thing is an issue, buy a cheap monitor. They ALL work and will help you set your plan. It’s cool.  :pimp Just be smart,  :fatty stay safe, and live a pure life  :cokesniff  :fatty :beers:  Row, row, row your boat… :wacked:           (stick with HQ)

GUC it sounds like you need some better quality weed. A nice high quality medical strain, 50/50 indica-sativa possibly a little more on the sativa side, will definitely not leave you with a hangover. In fact some of our high sativa and pure sativa strains are actually extremely energizing and uplifting but there is no bad comedown with any of the nice medical stuff we have here. Unless it’s not truely high quality and then people here won’t fuck with it anyway. We coloradoans are spoiled though. I assume you don’t live in a medical state?  🙁

haha I wish I lived in a "friendly" state.  I live in SC – the BUCKLE of the bible belt.  Wanna snag some of that quality MJ and meet me 1/2 way?  Say, the Arkansas/Tennesseee state line? LOL  :getstones

I recently made a trip to the hospital for some surgery on my arm, I was told to be there at 8:30 am for pre-surgerical screening. While waiting there they chanced to take my blood pressure, which I have not checked in a few months. As a preface let me inform you that I finally ran out of MB choc tide, after continuous use for months &
Suprise, my fuking BP was 235/145! Last time it was checked it was 135/85 which is much closer to normal. Anyway the hospital immediately refused to do surgery, cause they couldn’t afford for me to die on the op table & instead placed me into a room on the heart attack floor where I was dosed with 4 types of blood pressure meds over the next 24 hours. My BP finally fell to below 170/95 and then the hospital Dr wrote me several scripts for bp meds after my promise to not burn anymore spice & instead switch back to weed. On an interesting note I did discover that the reason I feel "hot" all the time lately, even in the air conditioning, was because my BP was so damn high that my head almost launched into orbit. I suppose that means my BP has been running crazy for ome time. Well, I decided to quit & also on my quit list is foods high in salt. Good Luck to you guys who don’t yet know what that crazy overheated sweaty feeling means (for me high BP) cause I’m not up for a stroke, just to get high. I can’t guess how I even got out of the hospital tonight cause I just checked & it is back up to 199/120. My worry now is that eventually the noids that I guess may be causeing the elevated BP will be out of my system & then my BP meds will hafta be re-adjusted. Wish me luck, my surgery is supposed to be back on for next week, if I can get a handle on this runaway blood pressure bs

jones I am so sorry to hear about you dealing with all this crap man. Sounds like quitting is the right and more importantly safe thing to do right now and I commend you for being able to. It’s so crazy that you’re talking about this, as well as the Queen. I was just in the hospital a few days ago for something I won’t bring up right now, but the entire time I was there my BP was much higher than usual and wouldn’t go down. My heart rate was pretty crazy too and also pretty much refused to go down. Even after I calmed down my BP and heart rate still didn’t really drop. This makes some sense, I’ve always known that using blends can affect BP, heart rate, oxygen levels etc. I never knew they could affect us to this extent though! I’ve been using pretty heavily for the last few months though and when I smoke I tend to sit and smoke for hours so I’m sure that can’t be good at all. I’m still using blends, I’m just cutting way back. Just a couple times per day now and much smaller amounts. I think I waste alot of spice personally with the way I smoke sometimes. Alot of the time I will burn 2 or 3 bowls and it’s just not necessary most of the time. I used to be a person that a 3-5 gram bag would last me like a week, now it lasts me like a couple days tops lol. Another weird thing I notice is that no matter how much spice I have I tend to go through it in about the same amounts of time. Like if I have 3-6 grams I’ll go through it in 3-4 days being semi conserative and responsible with my smoking. But then sometimes I’ll get almost a half o, 12 grams, and I’ll still go through that in like 3-4 days, idk moderating use can just be quite hard with this stuff sometimes. I’m also way stressed though and I’m trying to work on others ways to deal with that other than just using drugs. Anyway, sorry to ramble like that. Been burning more actual weed since I’m not smoking as much spice and I’m stoned and rambling now lol. I really hope you get a handle on the BP jones and stay strong with trying to quit, at least for now.

Oh, Jb.  We agree once again, same page.  Just like the Deftones.  I know what you are saying about over indulging in blends, it’s a pain in the fucking ass.  I’m trying to cut back as well, but it’s difficult to do, even though I want to do so, although when you have blends in front of you it’s not easy to moderate your usage.

Moderating can be hard as fuck, not really possible with blends, it can be done but it’s really hard. Cue some member to come on here to say it’s not hard to use it in moderation…  It’s not like conserving a bag of Sour Diesel, nothing like that, you can put that down easy.

I’m the same way brosef.  3-6 grams and I’m done with that 2-4 days usually.  Same with 10 grams or more like you say – it’ll be knocked out in 3-5 days tops.

Moderation on blends?  Fuck good luck guys your gonna need it

I’ve been off blends for 6 weeks now. Well, actually almost 8 weeks, but I’m not counting the first two weeks because I smoked Hatter’s Natty and Joe’s Toasted XGen. I know they aren’t blends, but I’m counting them as such.

Honestly I have absolutely no desire to smoke a blend ever again. Not saying i won’t, but the yearning is completely gone.

Blends ands SC’s are awesome, amazingly powerful chems with lots of therapeutic potential.

Unfortunately for someone like me that has serious addiction issues, these compounds are proving too much to handle.

Well, apparently the withdrawal is coming along pretty well,
as my blood pressure is now almost too low at 114/86. Even so I
am off blends for good, I’m going on 50+ & I don’tthink my old body
can put up with this kinda stress. I was only using blends in the first
place cause pot wasn’t working for me any more. That was a couple
years ago so mebbe after drying out I will try the mj again.

I’ve been there.

You will definitely enjoy the good MJ again. The longer you’re off of blends, the better MJ will work.

I’m glad your blood pressure is going down. That can be scary stuff.
