First car I remember my folks having was a ’64 Ford Fairlane.

Sporty, just like the beast in the foreground here. ‘Cept Dad had a purple paint job on it. He sold it when I was in 2nd grade, but we lived in a small town and I got to see that car for many years afterward. Guy that bought it always kept it in like-new condition. My dad was a Ford man and felt his only mistakes were one rustbucket Maverick and a 1976 Pinto. He always joked about the Pintos with the exploding gas tank. You may well be old enough to remember the fiasco that was lol.
