I have some sad news today. The cops recently decided to fuck me over and now I gotta go to court. It’s a long story that follows so feel free to leave if you don’t wanna read it all. I’m going to have to leave the forums for a while (not sure how long yet).
Yesterday, my RA came in my room and asked if I was ok saying I was "acting weird". I said yea I’m fine, she said "you don’t look fine". wtf does anyone else find that mean? insisted that I was fine but she called the cops. The residential life staff and cops came to my room.
Fuckers wanted me to go to the hospital cuz I was "acting weird" (slurred speech, glossy eyed, ect) but I refused. As soon as I refused they slapped handcuffs on me (WAY tighter than they had to) and pushed me out the door in front of at least 10 of my peers. They wouldn’t let me get my shoes on or get pants on so I went to the station in my pajama shorts and a shirt. Talk about fucking embarrassing! All that because I was supposedly acting weird. Now I have a resisting arrest AND disorderly conduct charge and I didn’t do SHIT.
The cop said "stand up", took out his handcuffs and started to handcuff me. I asked them why they were handcuffing me since I didn’t do anything wrong and they said I was under arrest for resisting arrest. Fuck, I didn’t fight, push, shove or even flinch to make them think I was resisting. Why did they want to take me to the hospital so bad? to drug test me of course. Nobody gives a shit that I had a seizure 2 or 3 weeks ago , these incidents can’t be related to that right? they were supposedly worried for my health but they never did any tests to check and make sure I was ok. If they thought I wasn’t ok then why the fuck didn’t they run tests??
I could sense the pleasure those damn cops got from handcuffing me when I asked them if they could loosen them because they hurt a lot. They replied with "they do hurt don’t they? they weren’t made to be comfy." I got red marks on my wrists that still hurt today from that. I’m just glad I’ll never have to work as a cop…I couldn’t be so heartless to someone who never fought back, talked disrespectfully (cussing, calling names, ect) or even cause a disturbance.
I get to the jail, they set bond at $400 at first. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?? who does that?? I never hurt them and they were trying to get the maximum fine and bail on me like I was some kind of criminal. It was serious overkill from a heartless police officer. Eventually I got the bail down to $100 but they still charged me $52 in addition for the 2 hour stay at the jail. If you think it’s right to charge $400 to get out of jail for literally 2 and 1/2 days then that’s bullshit.
sorry for the rant, I’m a lil pissed right now and had to tell everyone about this injustice. I won’t be on here for a while since I gotta lay low but I’ll be back asap.
Holy shit dude, this is totally disgusting. I am so sorry for what you are going through. You need a good lawyer/advocate. It sounds like you have a lawsuit here. If I can do anything, please let me know.

Im too lazy to give you advice as i been threw the system many times. Are you sure you dident at least say no or do anything prior to them cuffing you? My opinion resisting arrest will be easy to drop. Just dont accept anything/plead guilty till they give you a lawyer. Then they will drop a charge and normal have you plea to some bullshit. I see them trying to get you to plea to disordy conduct.

they found a broken pipe yeah. Broken but theoretically it could still be used, just not very well. I’m hoping they can’t use that against me but I don’t think they will. They won’t have time to send the bawlz out to the lab and get results back before my court case on Monday. I know they didn’t charge me with paraphernalia so I don’t think they’ll be able to do anything about that yet. Hopefully they don’t do shit about it ever but I wouldn’t be surprised if they sent the case all the way to MN so I’d have to fight it there…

I did say I didn’t want to go to the hospital, which is the reason for the resisting arrest. That’s what they told my parents anyways. I did keep telling them that I wanted to get my shoes and pants on but they said I didn’t take the chance when it was given to me, which is BS. they hardly gave me a chance before they forced me out the door.

my RA doesn’t have anything better to do I guess. She has called the cops on me at LEAST 5 times previously for the EXACT SAME REASON. The staff and police around here are fucked.

Btw did they cuff you before or after finding your stash. Either way that pissed them off and they find ways to charge you like they did.
my ticket doesn’t say paraphenalia on it though. Unless they bring up the charge later? I didn’t think they could do that.

that’s odd, RtO should mean "resisting the officer" but the michigan law page says it’s for concealed weapons. for the record I have absolutely NO weapons on me or in my room….

I think it was after they found my stash that they cuffed me but I don’t remember. That shouldn’t have been a reason to cuff me though, it doesn’t smell or resemble MJ and they took their time breaking it up to make sure too. The main reason they cuffed me was for not going to the hospital which translates to "resisting arrest".

I wasn’t yelling either. That doesn’t go anywhere when it comes to cops. It might sound like I’m not telling you the full side of my story (because that makes the cops sound really bad) but I honestly didn’t cause a huge scene or anything that should have pissed them off.

yeah, like I said I didn’t even flinch when they were cuffing me. I would understand if I were struggling or fighting them, that’s what a resisting arrest charge is for. it’s some BS that they decided to use it against me but I know they do that.
The KKBawlz was in my desk and my pipe was broken in a bag so they would have to put that together somehow. completely different locations and I’m not sure what they thought the ball was. I don’t know what would make them think it was spice…it was in a nice little pink fabric baggie so it certainly didn’t look stereotypical. Not to mention the pipe was broken! I can’t believe they still thought I was using it recently.

I can’t really run from it though, can I? if I ever get arrested again they could charge me with it couldn’t they? god knows someone is going to call the cops on me again. It’s happened many times in my life. I’m just hoping they can’t find a place that is capable of testing for stuff in it.
Lol dont run i you was to get arrested again your bond goes way higher and have less of a chance to get released on a pr. Once you have that in file they never let your ass out of jail without huge fees
