I used acetone and kosher salt, plus some electrical tape. The process took about an hour, but my glass pipe is finally clean as a whistle! Damn, that thing was dingy, dirty, nasty.
All ready for sampling my new blends! Now if the USPS would hurry the eff up. Stupid Omaha.

Went over to a friend’s house one time and found him trying to wash out an old bong that his friend had given him. The dumbass must have been a power smoker, because we dug enough resin and weed out of that thing to last a week. Always remember to scrape and save before you start cleaning anything… those resin balls come in handy during droughts. Took forever to clean that thing up…

Hey, as someone who’s had many a weekend saved thanks to "tar"… lol… trust me when I say it’s better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Just stow that shit in a little ziplock yo. If it’s too sticky, throw some mullein or another base herb in there to make resin balls.
We’ve all been in desperation land… that special place where you’ve called all your sources and they all end up being dry thanks to the weekend, or some holiday. Stuck with that one buddy who simply obsesses about weed or blends when there’s none to be had. At that point it’s either produce resin balls from your stash, or spend the next few hours picking through the carpet for those tiny flakes that may or may not be something smokeable.
I do not save gorp, but if one did save it and one had enough to extract, if you dissolve it in alcohol or acetone, filter the solution then evaporate the solution you can get a pretty good "active" material extract. After the extract is dry wash it wth water and throw the solutiion away–the stuff that doesnt dissolve in water are the goodies. After you wash it, allow it to dry. Be wary, because if you are smoking weed you will need 30-60 mg to get off but if you are smoking blends you will only need 5-15 mg or maybe even less depending on the sprinkle.
I just smoke it as is. Just heat it slowly til it starts to vaporize. Once it’s dry enough from the heat, then it’ll start to burn… Always was my philosophy with weed too. I just can’t stand wasting something that could potentially save your day and your sanity…

Pour a little kosher salt inside your pipe, place the pipe in a ziplock bag.
Fill the bag with enough rubbing alcohol to cover the pipe.
Add another spoonful of salt to the bag of alcohol.
Zip the bag closed, roll it up, place it in a second sammich bag and zip that one closed as well.
Lastly: Masturbate the hell out of the bag/pipe. Go all shake weight crazy. This should clean it REALLY quickly to look brand new.

I can’t even begin to estimate how many times I would’ve gone without, were it not for scraping some resinated goodness from my pieces.
I understand the whole ‘tar’ aspect…but man, that’s a whole lotta perfectly good actives that you’re all throwing away!
If one can afford to throw away 1/3 of what they pay for that’s one thing, but here in ‘Poorville’ every precious molecule counts.
If nothing else, save it up for a kick-ass extraction per ngls’ suggestion. 8)
