Smugglers are showing much ingenuity to be able to introduce illegal cigarettes in Romania. Yesterday, June 28, the border of the District PF Radauti, along with workers from the Customs Office Dornesti found about 100,000 packs of cigarettes hidden inside logs. The Border Police Sector Radauti PF county Suceava were informed by the Customs Office workers Dornesti the fact that after an inspection of specific equipment supplied in Dornesti railway station, on a freight train that entered the country of Ukraine with PTF Vicsani was observed within several logs they carry a quantity of cigarettes.

At this spot was requested by border guards who took research. It was conducted a thorough check on the logs, during which it was discovered, within them, an impressive amount of cigarettes, approximately 100,000 Ukrainian origin packages worth more than £ 800,000. The amount of cigarettes was raised to confiscation by the border police and investigations shall be performed for the crime of smuggling.
