It is really hard to get more than a few ounces off of a single autoflowering plant because usually they are one big cola. I have heard a bit about the big bud strain, mostly from seedbanks selling it, but realistically i doubt an elbow is possible with it unless you are feeding it super nutrients and live in a tropical climate. The great thing about auto flowers is its easy to plant several dwarf plants and get a lbs worth in a short time while minimizing exposure from view. Several strains get no taller than 2 feet and are easily concealed in large  planters and garbage cans.

I’m guessing 250 watt cfls would be overkill? Wouldn’t 150 watts be enough considering its a small plant?

Id go 150 with a good cooling setup and co2 equipment, but id also do at least two plants.

you think 250 watts or maybe 300 watts would be good for 5 plants?

what matters more is the space you have them in, amount of size, distance of light from plants, etc. You can do 250, but just my advice i would look for led lighting that is full spectrum or go with one of the lower wattage options. Costs less and doesn’t spike your power the same but can give even better results depending on the amount of space you have to work with.

yes, but honestly if you run the right cycle, all bud has a higher yield indoors under a higher cycle. I kept this post specific as the original post was for outdoor. The big thing is to monitor your plants response for the first week of any new light cycle and tweak your settings accordingly. I used to keep young plants outdoors until night, givem four hours of natural night time and then let them sit all night in a veg lighting or high output light if budding.

Im not sure if this was asked but I was reading a review on a autoflower and someone said they topped one and got a bigger yeild off that plant then the rest. Anyone have any input?  And what would be the best soil to use that you don’t have to do anything to? Like no adding ferts oe anything and just use it full harvest

Wouldn’t auto flowering be too small/ short of time period for any sort of stress training?
