Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to check in.  I haven’t been posting much lately, but I still visit a few times a week.  It’s been tough to resist smoking, so I’ve been avoiding too much interaction to make it a little easier on myself.  I was at a friend’s house the other day and she was lighting a joint…it smelled so good I had to excuse myself in order to resist! 

I had a nasty falling out this weekend with my mother, not sure when I’ll speak to/ see her again.  Our relationship has always been rocky at best; my parents were (and can still be) emotionally abusive, and for several years I didn’t speak to them.  We were on a good streak, getting along…but then we told them the name we picked for the baby and my mother flipped.  We are naming him Foxworth James, and she didn’t hold back telling me how much she hates the name, immediately suggested alternate names, and when I said it wasn’t up for debate or discussion, things got really bad – it was on like Donkey Kong!

The worst thing she ended up saying was that if the child didn’t turn out very handsome, his name was going to blow up in our faces.  My hubby and I were incredibly insulted, I was in tears, and told her that I had a million nasty things running through my mind that I wanted to say to her, but the nicest of them was to "shut her mouth" and that she needed sensitivity training.  We left their house at that point and I haven’t spoken to her since, and might not for a long time.  *sigh*

But enough of that – it’s their drama and it belongs to them.  I’m not going to carry the weight of it on my shoulders!  I’m almost halfway through my pregnancy, and things are kicking into high gear around here while preparing for the baby’s arrival, which is a lot of fun.  🙂

I’ve got to get back to my spring cleaning, this damn house isn’t going to clean itself!  I love and miss all of you – and I’ll be back more frequently when I can smoke again.  xoxo
