Lol smart choice. I have hbo for it, but my friends watch it on the net. Maybe you could start watching again on the computer instead? When i was in prison i read all the books that the show was based on, so thats what made me start watching it. Books are good too if youre into that thing.

I really liked the books, but this was the first time i ever said that i liked the show better than the books. Granted this was like season 2 when i said that. The show followed the books for the first four seasons sort of. They had their differences from the books but followed the general formula of the books. There were no books like what happened in season 5, or for what is happening now

I know what youre saying, thats the only way to watch a show. True blood is no exception, it probably wouldnt be enjoyable to try to jump in. Id recomend trying to watch the very first episode, maybe youll like it. The first season was alot more normal too haha

The storyline in the book is different, but I still dig the show. (set in the place where I live)
