[#6742]

Just saw Black Sabbath and Andrew W.K. last night at Shoreline Ampitheater.

Andrew W.K. was pretty awesome, but Sabbath fucking killed it!

Ozzy started off a little shaky for the first couple songs (his delivery was a little off-time on Snowblind), but by the third song he was fucking feeling it! He actually poured a cooler of water over his head, making him look 30 years younger. Then, he started going crazy and doused the front rows with jugs of water… not sure if the rich people in front row were too appreciative, but he rest of us were ! Fucking OZZY !

Geezer was in top form – he did an amazing bass solo, that of course led into "NIB".

Iommi was a monster, his guitar was perfect in the sound mix – loud, clear and heavy as hell.

And that new drummer – Tommy Clufetos – is a drum GOD. Dude is trully amazing – dead perfect double bass with lots and lots of crash cymbals – totally rock and fucking roll. The dude really looks the part – he actually looks like a young (skinny) Bill Ward. He even wears a bandana to keep his longhair back.

Sabbath ended the concert with encores of "Children of the Grave" and "Paranoid".

Excellent, excellent show.  :dance

————

I’ve seen Sabbath with Ian Giilan (Deep Purple) on the Born Again tour, and I saw Sabbath again with Dio for the Mob Rules tour, and Ozzy with Randy Rhodes, but never Black Sabbath with Ozzy.

Now I can finally say I saw Ozzy with Black Sabbath, and it exceeded all expectations.

The venue was completely sold out, 75% of the people were singing along with every lyric.

Fuck yeah!  Caught ’em back in maybe ’01 on the reunion tour.  Drain STH and Godsmack opening at Riverbend -Wooohah!

You can’t go to that show and not feel Ozzy’s energy.  For him to still be going so strong at his age is simply amazing. :goodpost

Another breath and I'm up another level

Jealous barely begins to cover the envy level.  Kickass that you got to go!
I’ve sEen Ozzy in his Jake E Lee era but never Sabbath.
Wicked dub. Rock on!

Never had the honor of attending a Sabbath concert. Must say I’m a bit jealous right now.

This was just uploaded to YouTube too, from last night, first oncore… Ozzy’s having a blast, and Geezer nails it.

"Children of the Grave" – watch this !!!

I saw Ozzy with Sabbath.  Maybe I’m missing something but they were old and shaky even back then.  I guess I never really was into those guys and it seems like they should have retired in the 80’s, peacefully.  I appreciate legacy bands but never understood the appeal of Ozzie.

A dissenting opinion if you want to crucify me for it.

Ozzy is actually better now than he was back in the addiction days, He has more energy and is hella more coherent ..I saw him solo a few years ago…and I saw Sabbath without him a few years ago also…I wish I could afford to see this tour. The last big one I went too Was the Van Halen reunion tour…it is hard watching Dave Prance around now that I am old enough to pick up on the subtle Undertones…
