Nice post.  I may check this out.  Transformers meets Real Steel vs Cloverfield monsters?  Cool.

Watching Perfect Storm now OT.

Do you mean the quality or My thoughts on the movie itself?

For quality = Video gets a 7.5 and audio gets a 8

The movie itself 7.5 Really a lot of exciting stuff going on , Really dark and wet and With a stupid Plot..in fact there is no plot..lol

Mindless high fun is how I classify this one..

It’s pretty much Evangeleon with a lot of slight tweaks.  Great performances from everyone involved, even if the source material is a bit unoriginal.  Great effects.  Exciting if a bit hollow storytelling.

It’s a fun big summer popcorn flick, and the best kaiju movie made outside Japan.  Roll a joint and enjoy!

I saw this online in decent quality. It’s a good action-packed, giant mecha/robots fighting giant creatures, lots of cool special effects kind of movie. I remember there being a few things in the plot that didn’t quite seem to add up all the time, but it wasn’t until after I saw the movie that I realized those plot holes. It’s still an awesome movie and I’ll be watching it again in much clearer quality when it comes to Netflix or I rent it on DVD.

I am always up for chatting online with some new and interesting people. I don’t really PM too many people here much. If you see this and you’re interested in chatting or are bored and such. Please hit me up. I LOVE conversation.

Think Gozilla vs Mechagodzillaz. I’m burned out on Godzilla but really enjoyed this.

I give it a B or B+.  Yes, CGI was good but I got bored, should have been half an hour shorter, too many repetitive parts, holes in the plot, pretty to watch…
On chat now, woo hoo

Good flick.  Enjoyed it a lot on Blu Ray.  CGI is sick yall are right.  Felt like a mix of Cloverfield, Godzilla and Real Steel.

Just watched this one last week. Really enjoyed it–lots of fun. Wish I had seen it in a theater or even better, Imax/Omnimax! Great visuals that reminded me of Tron and Speed Racer, and Charlie Day was funny as always. I give it three hookah puffs out of five.  :hookah:  :hookah:  :hookah:

Giant monsters fighting giant robots….hmmmm…no points for originality here.

However, this alone is the movie’s strength.  The battle and general "monsters laying waste to shit" was very cool.

Plot = swiss cheese.  Human subplot = unnecessary.

If they’d have just dropped all subtext and gave us 90 minutes of giant robots and equally giant monsters laying waste to shit in this format, it would have been much better.

IMHO and all that.
