Nice to see someone else who appreciated S. Darko. Yes, the creator wasn’t involved with it… but it adheres to his rules set down in Donnie Darko rather well, and has a creepy flavor all it’s own.
I gotta add Kelly’s other movies to the list tho… because they’re brilliant.

Southland Tales in particular flew over a lot of peoples heads. The key thing to remember about it is that everything The Rock says is important. Even the cracked out weird shit about reality breaking down and things getting stranger as they reach the end. It’s definitely not a movie you watch sober, and every single actor in it gives the performance of their lives.

Well, the ending and the whole "Pimps don’t commit suicide" thing was because a fan of Donnie Darko offed himself, and the media pretty much put the blame squarely on the film. Kelly kind of took that hard. Understanding that, I kind of like the ending… it’s surreal and strange… and fucks with people’s heads. Kind of like my next flick…

Just saw "This is the end". Classic Seth Rogan et al Stoner movie, with a lot of scary action thrown in. Funny self satire and typican/atypical Harold and Kumar type of entertainment. Parts of it are actually frightening! A very good bang for the buck!
Two thumbs up, may be too drug and potty mouthed for your parents or religious people. Lots and lots of weed smoking! ALL STAR CAST!
I watched ‘Nitro Circus 3D’ a few weeks ago while blazed, it was pretty bad ass.
