Lelantos Mail can be accessed over Tor using the Thunderbird email client (both IMAP and POP3 are supported) along with your clearnet email accounts at the same time. For Thunderbird on Windows, you will need to install an addon called "FoxyProxy" which allows Thunderbird to connect through the Tor network.
- In Thunderbird, find the "Add-ons Manager" and click "Get Add-ons".
- Search for FoxyProxy and install
- Add Tor as a proxy and configure FoxyProxy following the images below as a guide:
After this, just add your Lelantos email account to Thunderbird using the following information:
- IMAP server: lelantoss7bcnwbv.onion
- IMAP port: 143
- POP3 server: lelantoss7bcnwbv.onion
- POP3 port: 110
- SMTP server: lelantoss7bcnwbv.onion
- SMTP port: 25
Use your complete login (e.g. username@lelantos.org) for User Name in Thunderbird server settings, set Connection security: STARTTLS, and Authentication method: normal password. Once finished all you need to do is start the Tor Browser Bundle before opening Thunderbird. You will then be able to access all your email accounts in Thunderbird, whether on clearnet or Tor at the same time.
