Woman killed by 4-year-old in Tennessee cookout
NASHVILLE (Associated Press) — Authorities say a 4-year-old boy got ahold of a loaded gun at a family cookout and shot and killed the wife of a Tennessee sheriff’s deputy.
Investigators say Wilson County Deputy Daniel Fanning on Saturday was showing his weapons to a relative in a bedroom of his Lebanon home when the toddler came in and picked up a gun off the bed. More here:

I know. People are irresponsible with dangerous equipment and toddlers. I can’t even imagine how many kids have been maimed or killed by kitchen accidents, not to mention household or yard tools. I know the gun thing got news becuse of all the hype on gun control but really the larger issue is parents or adults-in-charge failing to safeguard their kids.
You have to watch kids all of the time. Period. Until they are like 25 and start to become interesting.
