Afternoon, and happy Saturday, fam. :bakedmonkey:
Thought I'd post a thread to share how things are going in my neck of the woods. Most everything is grinding to a halt. Feels like being out on Christmas day, with traffic down and most things closed. Plenty of food and water are available – make no mistake, the stores have obviously been hit very, very hard and have a lot of shelves empty, but nobody is going to starve anytime in the near future.
If you need some TP though, you are completely and totally SOL in my area. Have hit Meijer, Costco, Menards, Family Dollar, General Dollar…nobody got any TP anywhere, at all. Not even "John Wayne" is available, Pilgrims! Got some solid scoop that Costco did earlier today, and I was close enough to see people with some wheeling out the door, but nothing left by the time I could get there. Buddy of mine about an hour further south says their Costco has sold over 50k rolls in the past 6 hours.
Fewer and fewer people out as time goes on, which is good. A strange combination of worried people trying to TCB because they have no choice, and of course a healthy smattering of complete dumbasses sprinkled in. Restaurants are working hard to still do carryout and pick ups. People are trying to do whatever they can to help out or make things work under this new reality. I see more people trying to be kind and helpful instead of selfish and snarky, which is a good thing. (Look for the helpers, boys and girls!) You can now pick up growlers of draft beer to go or for delivery, which is admittedly kind of awesome.

All in all, we are doing OK. Got plenty of everything, really. This is a scary thing, and I worry about so many folks who may not be strong enough to fight this thing off. My family, my friends…and all of you too.
Definitely a good opportunity to stop and take a reality check. It's so easy to lose sight of the things that are really important.
Be safe, and be well, fam. :smokepack
