Another article about the Firefox flaw used to exploit TOR – http://www.hngn.com/articles/14090/20131005/nsa-using-firefox-flaw-tor-track-users.htm

Speaks pretty well of TOR. They way I read it, they can get in there, but the sheer magnitude of the user base overwhelms them. Essentially, you’re probably pretty good as long as you do not become a target of interest to them. And you better keep your damn tools updated!

Don’t get me wrong – I’m simply commenting on the article. This one just painted a better picture then I had in my head. Take that as you will.

I’ve been leery of TOR from the beginning, simply by the nature in which it was developed. I used it early on, but kept reading the ways that it could be exploited. No doubt, TOR is the highest value target the spooks are after. Not for me anymore, not for a while, actually.

Just visit the Tor Project site and always use the latest version of Tor Browser Bundle. Tor is free and a lot of folks depend on it daily.

Here’s a link to the original full article at The Guardian, important links inside: http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/oct/04/nsa-gchq-attack-tor-network-encryption

I think you are more likely to get in a NSA database using Google than Tor. At least use Start Page instead.

We all already in a nsa database.  The entire interweb was created by the nsa.  Think about it.

They bought it from Al Gore in exchange for global warming.

It feels good to be up above the clouds
It feels good for the first time in a long time now
