1.) The "Monsanto Protection Act" effectively bars federal courts from being able to halt the sale or planting of controversial genetically modified (aka GMO) or genetically engineered (GE) seeds, no matter what health issues may arise concerning GMOs in the future. The advent of genetically modified seeds — which has been driven by the massive Monsanto Company — and their exploding use in farms across America came on fast and has proved a huge boon for Monsanto’s profits.
This is the same company who created Agent Orange and other hazardous materials and who is also responsible for cutting corners by dumping their hazard waste in nearby creeks/waterways in the areas they operate. This has happened in my own city/county and have relatives who have been exposed to high levels of PCB and who have died from this(cancer). My wife was infected by this crap and her family, they won prob 100K total in lawsuits just this family now…
Then in 2002 the Washington Post ran an article entitled, "Monsanto Hid Decades Of Pollution, PCBs Drenched Ala. Town, But No One Was Ever Told". Monsanto began production of polychlorinated biphenyls in the United States in 1929. PCBs were considered an industrial wonder chemical – an oil that would not burn, was impervious to degradation and had almost limitless applications. Today PCBs are considered one of the gravest chemical threats on the planet.
^^ Yes, that’s my town!

So would you trust a company with a long history of knowingly poisoning the locals with creating your GMO seeds and now have a protection act for their company alone?!
