Wow what a good read. I think my opinion of bitcoin may change very soon. How would you mail a gun? My brother buys online but it has to be sent to a licensed dealer? Same way I guess?

  Not Legally,
My pick would be same as spice, usps priority mail

Only use ups–can you even mail a gun usps ? (I have never tried ) I do not think so. Even if you can-I wouldn’t.
Guy in Georgia that worked on my daughters piece of shit Remington .223 will only accept ups if you ship to him — not sure if that’s law or not…

I would stay away from ups & fed ex for illegal shipping of firearms,
for the same reason spice shippers do. Ups&fedex don’t require a warrant before
opening your package. Your guy in Georgia can specify any shipping co he wishes,
because he has a federal firearms license. I thought we were discussing the shipping
of a gun to the end user, which would be quite illegal, if it were not shipped by the
manufacturer of the gun or by an actual gunsmith.

I think that’s the whole point.  There are vendors, sources, on the silk road who are sending clearly illegal items via common shippers and the USPS.

I guess I had always figured that would be an easy mark on a scanner where as a pound of bud tightly compressed with a bottle of shampoo or something would make the bud look like packing paper or void space with the shampoo being the main shape that the scanner sees. Perhaps packaged like an airsoft gun it woukd slip through

Thing is the shipping services don’t have a "scanner" Only the airports & courts around the
world can justify the incredible expense & manpower to have a so-called magical "scanner"
They cannot afford to do anything more complicated at usps than taking pictures of the
address & return addresses of the mail or packages they send. In addition as mentioned
previously, opening first class & priority mail requires a warrant….& there are untold thousands
of packages that all look similar to each other, so which one has the contraband???
