Something stinks to me–Is this a false flag to get us into another conflict ?

Did Ass-ad gas them? Most Ass-uredly. And not the first fuck does he give. Not only does he have stocks from his and his daddy’s governments, but Saddam sent all his shit over there too. (Nobody seems to remember the convoys heading for Syria out the ‘back door’ when the UN inspectors were coming in the ‘front’, conveniently. It was just more politically convenient to scream NO WMD’S IT’S BUSHES’ FAULT!)
Yes, he’s a dictator. News flash: that’s the only kind of government that works over there.
In this instance, he’s the lesser of 2 evils.
His government is one of only a few things standing between Obama and the Saudi caliphate he wants. If you take a look, Syria is about the only secular government left ‘over there’. And he’s fighting against AL-QAEDA. *Against*. Not for. Coincidence? I think not.
He’s seen this shit coming for 20+ years. The air strikes that are being contemplated wouldn’t put a dent in his war machine. Bunkers are dug, assets are dispersed. This would largely be only an expense to the US for wasted hardware.
He’s got Putin backing him. Russia has stated that they’re ‘not going to war with anyone’, but that don’t scratch off proxies, which is how things have really worked since Korea.
Several months back, the Saudis approached Putin and offered him ‘guaranteed security’ for the olympics from the Chechen terrorists if he agreed to stand down on this one. "We can turn them on or off like a light switch" was the ostensible quote. He told ’em to go take a flying leap. Russia doesn’t need Saudi oil. They do, however, need Tartus for access to the Med.
If the US attacks, that gives him the green light to counterattack. Don’t think he doesn’t have some pretty nifty (and very ugly) tricks up his sleeve.
I could go on, but that’s the short version.
Of all this, I hate that Aleppo’s historical sites have suffered some of the worst shelling. That is one of, and perhaps "the" oldest standing inhabited cities on earth. So much of our history being destroyed before we can even learn it. :-
How much does the leviathan gas field that was found there in 2010 factor into this–esp. for the Russians ??
No one talks about it-but it has to play a role in all this madness.

Ngls senses another smokescreen.
I abhor going into another conflict (my son is draft able) -we need help here at home-I just cannot get past those dead kids…jesus…What if those were my kids ? But on the other hand –what if that is the desired response these evil fuckers want?–to justify the C F they are about to create there.

We had a plan to invade Syria among a few others including Lebanon some others I forget within the next 6 years when Bush was in office. Oil was part of it.
But the gassing is real the innocent people dead is real.
I honestly dont give a shit about Syria they deserve a military strike I wish it wasn’t from us but that is just part of being the World’s Police Force
EG. Spot on.
Neil, Close.
It’s definitely been in the works for a while. Syria is definitely on the list. They definitely have oil.
An example: if Africa had oil, the US would OWN them by now.
Where you are wrong, Neil, is that they ‘deserve a military strike’.
Their military is not that highly developed. Half of the stories we hear are actually about ‘plants’ who are employed to make the ‘enemy’ look bad.
Propaganda levels are high.
When Syria is attacked, 95% of the people hurt will be civilians. If we were sane, we would not want that on our conscience.
The Syrian people are just like all the other people all over the world, they just want to be left alone to be happy.
This is all politics and money. We gain power, they lose power. They lose money, we gain money.
It’s all a game of chess/poker to those in charge…. and they take it about as seriously.

AFGHANISTAN
The prime objective of the war on Afghanistan was supposedly to capture Osama bin Laden, the man allegedly responsible for the attacks on 11 September 2001, and destroy his militant "network", al-Qaeda. In reality, the US and UK launched a full scale military deployment to the region a few months before the attacks on America, and the allies began the invasion of Afghanistan a few weeks before 9/11. The true sequence of events is freely available to anybody who bothers to check the relevent media coverage or official records. The cause-effect relationship between the US/UK attacks on the Middle East and the retaliatory attacks of 9/11 has been reversed in the minds of the public by the greatest campaign of political and media propaganda in the history of Western democracy. Osama bin Laden was not found, al-Qaeda remains operational, and the Afghan warlords are as powerful as ever. The main benefit was the massive US-led oil pipeline project, planned since 1998, which was immediately approved by the new regime installed by the US government.
IRAQ
The official excuse for invading Iraq was to disarm Saddam Hussein, but there was literally no evidence whatsoever to suggest was developing or hiding weapons of mass destruction. The war started before the internationally approved process of UN inspections was completed. No weapons were found, and the only guaranteed result of the war was regime change. The US government had planned to invade Iraq since April 2001, six months before September 11th, and the officially stated motive was to improve Western access to Iraqi oil – the world’s second largest supply. The only people to benefit to date are the executives of the US corporations that have assumed control of the most profitable industries and natural resources in the country, and the multi-millionaire US politicians affiliated with and in many cases financed by these companies. At least 10,000 civilians were killed by the attacks on Iraq, mainly women and children – more than three times the number killed on 9/11. Have we lost our sense of perspective?
LEBANON
Israel illegally occupied parts of this country until 2000 when Israeli forces were defeated by local resistance fighters. It is only a matter of time before Israel takes revenge. Israel, the US, the UK and other allies will eventually find a reason to extend their "war on terror" to Lebanon, where opponents of Israeli policy are known to exist among popular local grass-roots political organizations. Attacks on Syria and Iran will be easier with Lebanon suppressed, since Lebanon is the only land standing between Syria and the vast NATO military base on Cyprus.
IRAN
Sandwiched directly between Iraq and Afghanistan, Iran is now surrounded on either side by neighbours under US control. Iran holds one of the largest oil reserves on the planet, and as much as 40% of the world’s natural gas. America has assembled a huge invasion force in the Middle East, large enough to conquer the entire region. The US and Israel claim that Iran is developing nuclear weapons, and supporting the resistance in Iraq. Iran has accused British agents of terror attacks in Iraq, and supporting anti-Iranian terrorist groups.
SYRIA
Syria is situated in a strategically important location, and upon a useful oil reserve. It is much smaller than Afghanistan, Iraq, or Iran, and will be comparatively easy to conquer. The US government accused the Syrian regime of assisting Iraq during the war, hiding members of the Iraqi regime, harbouring Iraqi weapons, and supporting the resistance in occupied post-war Iraq. It would make strategic sense to attack Syria before Iran because it is smaller and weaker. For now, Iraq must remain the main focus of military resources.

They don’t want democracy. They don’t want ‘freedom’. They want Sharia.
They’re fucking Al Qaeda, and all they want is to convert or kill.
Give them Syria, and the population will suffer far worse than Assad.
Give them a foothold here, and they’ll do the same to your ‘infidel’ self if you don’t bow down and submit to their ass-backwards 6th century "religion of peace". There’s lots of them already here pushing for Sharia right here in the US.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out–
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out–
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out–
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me–and there was no one left to speak.

We need to smash Ass-ad with extreme prejudice. I want to see his head on a pole in front of the White House.
I hope Iran tries to step in so we can let Israel wipe that shithole off the map.
