New synthetic pot strains wreaking havoc on users

Since last week, 14 people in Brunswick have been treated for symptoms including hallucinations, psychotic episodes, and breathing difficulty.
The synthetic pot is sold under several labels including Crazy Clown and Black Mamba.
Drug investigators and Georgia health officials said a new and dangerous strain of synthetic marijuana continues to sicken users and may be in the metro Atlanta area.
Since last week, 14 people in Brunswick have been treated for symptoms including hallucinations, psychotic episodes and breathing difficulty.
The patients’ ages range from 18 to 24.
The Georgia Department of Public Health said two remain on life support, which may be removed by their families.
Two other suspected cases in Bartow County are under investigation.
"The symptoms are much more dangerous than what we have seen in the past," said Dr. Patrick O’Neill of the public-health agency.
"Law enforcement is actively engaged in this and we’re concerned about watching out for the whole state."
Doctors in Denver report more than 30 people there have been treated for medical emergencies after smoking the drug. In many instances, the patients are combative and delusional.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is testing samples of the new drug to determine compounds and chemical ingredients.
An official told Channel 2 News this week the substances may not be among the synthetic compounds banned in Georgia.
So far there have been no arrests.

I don’t understand what the hell could be in these things that make people that sick?
We all know it’s not the synthetic cannabinoids… at most they are gonna make you freak out, and by the time you end up in the ER you are feeling better.
But what would put someone on life support? Or what would mess up your breathing so bad that you had to be hospitalized? Some kind of cut? Bad synthesis?

Now I feel bad for making the joke….I am sur eit was just a over powering freak out…I have those all the time…I call that a successful smoke session…I apologize for making light of it..no one died yet,,,are they sur ethe ones on life support are related??.I had a friend die that way back in the 70s from alcohol poisoning after a night of coke and Jack Daniels over and over again….sorrrrrryyyyy :-[

To be fair…we have no real evidence that this is not just propaganda.
At the same time, this is the second report we’ve heard from the B-mamba in as many days. I had some of this in the past, but don’t think I’d go for it now.
I do wonder if sometimes peeps aren’t getting hit with megadoses of pesticides, fertilizer, etc. in their base materials.

I’ve been hearing a lot about these people dying from blends over the years of smoking, and I’ve just never had terribly awful effects even from the really stronger stuff all the time other than some annoying WDs and my tolerance being boosted so fast. I wonder what it is that’s putting these people down, whether it’s deadly drug combos or possibly dying from so much mental stress? Who knows, there’s not that much research on synth noids so far. Could be a bad batch, but I doubt it. Maybe certain kinds of people get adverse effects. I could imagine a lot of these kinds of articles being propagandized anyway, for the failing anti-drug campaign.
I don’t really think this stuff causes renal failure, although i’ve heard and read about that with certain chems.

Can cause raised blood pressure and strokes. Stokes can cause a lot of damage and possibly death.

Anyone else notice that in almost all of these reported cases the blends were purchased locally at stores? It has to be something that either was added to the incense or the makers used inferior product to make their blends before bagging. It’s interesting to note that from all of these stories i have yet to hear of one case where the incense was purchased online. Stay safe, avoid gas station blends!

Thats what I used to think, until 3 days after I ran out of MB’s 6X blend. That was when my blood pressure doubled and my pulse rate went up 25%
for no reason any of my Drs could figure out. That is the reason for the renal failure, once your blood pressure upper # exceeds 135 You could very
well be doing irreparable damage to your kidneys, etc. You don’t hafta believe in it for it to kill you.
I have been taking enough blood pressure reducing meds to fix 3 people for over a month now, just to get my bp back to where it was Before I started
using MB’s poison 6X blends. My Dr says I hafta keep watching my blood pressure because whenever the cannabinoids quit artificially inducing the
higher readings that same dose of meds could kill me by lowering my blood pressure too much at that point.
