Looking at Garmen Nuvi but there are several models of that unit to choose from in the $89-almost $200 range.

It feels good to be running from the devil
Another breath and I'm up another level
It feels good to be up above the clouds
It feels good for the first time in a long time now

The house has used Mio, TomTom And Garmin out of all the units the Garmin is the go to unit.  The wife really enjoys her Garmin nuvi 1450LMT.  Simple to operate, the traffic alerts are very useful, and the screen is just about prefect for a unit you can carry with you or transfer from car to car.  The only downside to this unit for us is the battery life, with the larger display and extra features the battery may get 2 -2.5 hours before you need a recharge.

Good luck in your search.

Any garmin. They are pretty much all the same for navigation. You are paying for screen size and pointless bonus features. Just make sure the unit has a traffic receiver.

That is not a bad unit for the price, for $20 bucks more you can get one with traffic and lifetime map updates.  The traffic feature really is handy.  http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-Portable-Bluetooth-Navigator-Lifetime/dp/B005DIBHA6

No traffic receiver. You will really miss that feature. Other than that it looks great. 😀

Most of the times the Garmin that was issued by work is good, but there had been several times I had to use my phone navigation cuz it took me to the wrong place…

The main thing with these units is you need to update them every quarter.  That way all the new roads and construction is always up to date.  Garmin releases a minimum of 4 map updates a year.  Get something with lifetime map updates and traffic.  Map updates can add up quick.  At 14.99 every time they release a map.

Here are some of the new models if you want the lastest and greatest all have lifetime maps and updates.  You could save some money by getting 2013 models though.
