As far as I understand "Electronic Shipping Info Received" just means a shipping label with your info.  Has been created & a tracking # has been issued… This does not mean that Usps Has the package in their possession yet..  Hope this helps..

Honestly, the Post Office could very well have it and just not scanned it in, and coincidentally no one else is scanning it, or the label got wet and no one could scan it. Very unlikely, all of these, but if you have faith in the vendor telling you it was actually sent (if you asked and they tell you that) then this is possibly the case.

Otherwise, this is the good ol comfort trick that some vendors like to play. "My order has been placed, yess! Tracking already, holy shit!?!" if you are unseasoned, this makes you feel like million bucks. But the cold honest truth is they just typed in your info and paid for a label regardless of where your actual order is. Did they actually print and use this label yet??? Your guess is as good as he says it is unfortunately. 🙁

I think that means it was just scanned in but not shipped. I’d CALL the vendor or ask the post office what to do? Just guessin’.

It’s chubby wubby.  Paid the invoice last monday, week ago today, said he would ship out tuesday.  Tuesday he said he would ship wednesday, got my tracker thursday, and it still says electronic shipping info received.  I know the P.O. isn’t open today but damn… can anyone vouch for this vendor?

EDIT:  I e-mailed him and asked him if he shipped it, and this is the response I got:

it was shipped i got alot of traccing numbers mixed up i promise.
because of the NEW USPS updates none of my DCN’s were right I had to get
a whole new stack. Mail doesnt run today either, expect it by wedns

I never heard of or ordered from him but by the looks of the response u received from him it kinda looks to me like hes kinda puttin u off a little & giving u the run around for some reason why he didnt ship it yet.. Im sure everything will work out for u eventualy… Just might take a while..  Good luck…

Just want to update and say that I received his package and the tracker never updated.  Even after receiving the tracker still to this minute just says electronic shipping info received.  Classic shoddy ass service from the USPS i guess.  Look for a review tonight or tomorrow.

You figure if you pay extra for tracking they should at least update it on the regular, right? Nope! Tracking is usually not even worth it. The only thing I’d say it always worth it is putting delivery confirmation on the pack so both seller and receiver know it got to its destination. Since USPS hardly ever updates the damned tracking you may as well go without it.

Also, I think on the USPS site where you track packages you can have it e-mail you with updates so instead of constantly checking the site over and over waiting for your packs to come you’ll just get an e-mail notification.

USPS tracking is about as useless as tits on a boar. I am watching a package appear to sit for its third day in Lexington Kentucky while tracking says expected delivery date is yesterday. I called my local PO who says it will show up tomorrow –just like the post office employee that told me the same thing yesterday. Maybe if they raise the price of postage just one more time…..

I disagree on the uselessness of tracking.  USPS will not help at all with locating a missing package if you do not have a tracking #.  At the same time, some vendors will print up the labels for shipping and give you the dates then.  It could be a week or so before they actually bother to ship it.

Means the label has been paid for and printed. Not shipped yet. However, some USPS packages go to the destination and tracking never updates.

Yes the problem today is that vendors can print the shipping label right from thier home…meaning as soon as they process your order (they have gotten your money)…they can make you feel good by getting a tracking number issued straight from home whether they are getting to the post office with your package that day…or 4 days from then…this really bugs me but it makes the vendors life alot easier so as long as I dont have longer then a 2 day wait period from them printing the shipping label to it being scanned in (which i haven’t yet…knock on wood) i wont complain

Yeah. Often when it does update to accepted it is at some time that is clearly not post office hours so you have no clue when the package actually changed hands. Easy for the vendor and USPS to make the other look bad.
