If only it worked all the time. With three people in the house, my internet is always crashing. I think my brother’s downloading and PC gaming is the main reason though.

excellent

If my internet is truly better then most of the US, that is quite alarming. I really hope this country does something to up these speeds and end the bullshit monopoly we have here.

That is exactly why I made this thread. to see what is out there. With my 20mb pipe, and low to medium use, we still have lag, buffer underrun, etc. Its sickening. Our upload speed is supposed to be 2mb and it is usually closer to 1mb.

I get 20 Mb/s down and 6 Mb/s up. I’m on Time Warner; this is their "turbo" tier service. It would be fast enough but their signal intermittently drops…usually just long enough to get kicked from an online game or bounced out of a movie stream.

mine is turbo and the upload is advertised as 2mb up here. that is the bottleneck for me.

did this test for the post. I do get what is advertised but it is still slow, especially during peak hours . (6pm to 11pm)

yea it could also be because I got 2 computers and 2 laptops hooked up to my Wi-Fi and I think the bitch that lives on the corner steals WiFi from us for her computer

Whenever I install Wi-Fi for my customers we are required to encrypt it…

prove it

I’ll second that.. Always online gaming will almost drop out randomly, nothing big really, EXCEPT for the fact this it drops that split second to kick you out of something that would require constant connection.. Have went through many routers at many residences, all Time Warner (coinceidence? I think not) and always had this problem. If you call they will deny it, but what the hell else is it then Mr Warner?  ??? It’s them forshizzle.

Maybe it’s just kind of shitty they are monopolizing the internet service in my area. Other than that though, I really do like their service.
