Well thought I had it all figured out, until I found out I couldn’t get on
One of the last boats that leaves the part of Alaska I need to leave from!

So for a few days sitting round, thinking what am I going to do, my lease ends
Oct 1, 2015. Meaning I am without a place to stay and I have no way out of here!

So I went to lunch, just figured have some good food, and chill and think about things!

So I was chilling down at the bar and grill having some lunch, and this older guy
Whom I met the first time I Moved to Kodiak, AK, ** November 2007 ** saw him sitting at the bar
So I Went up and we started talking.

Well as the conversation continued, I was like do you think I should ship the truck
And fly out of here with the 2 dogs? Since I cannot get on the boat?

And he gives me this smile, kind of strange at first, I am like what is he thinking LOL

Then he asked me if I was still working, and I said no, because I put my notice in, cause I planned to leave this Saturday the 19th and he’s like
So you would you open to a new job and a place to stay here, and I am like

Maybe, he knows I don’t fly very well, in fact I Hate flying anymore, to the point I need a
Valium or 2 or 3, just to get on the dam plane.

So I Am like you know of some job I don’t, and a place to live I don’t know about,
And he says YES I do Ted!! With a weird look on his face???

So he laid it out, he is a lot more well off than I have ever been, the dude is old,
Been a fisherman, also a lawyer etc.

He says he is going to be leaving next Wednesday, September 23, 2015. He’s going to Europe, a few places in the USA
Etc.  And that he has no one to watch his house that he trusts and or even likes, and I am like
So what’s the real deal??

Said he won’t be back till March 2016. He is a dog lover, as well as I, and this is deal
I am moving into his place this weekend, I will have to keep the place in order, clean,
Do shit outside, basic stuff, mow the lawn, water the plants, Basically just be there
To watch his house for him!! Keep it tip top shape kind a deal!

FOR FREE! Free rent, Free utilities, only thing I have to pay for is: Wireless Internet like I have now
And food, and gas for the truck, insurance!

Also the dude is hooking me up with a part time job, with one of his friends, helping him out
At the dock, on his boat but only Part time beginning of next month. May have to work on my
Birthday, but I Have before LOL.

So I added the cost of the move, land, a mobile home, and or RV, or house rental
The cost of the boat out of Alaska, the cost of gas across the USA

And I came to this: I can do much more March 1, 2016 financially than I Can right now anyway!
Meaning in March of next year, I can buy at least my land, pay my rent at a new place for a few months
And just basically set my self up in a new place, with more money!

So I am staying until MARCH 2016 – but if he comes back in February
Cause he said it is possible, I would be leaving in February 2016 instead!

This is one of strangest turn of events I have ever had, but I can’t pass up this deal!

I Can save almost all my income from this new job, for the rest of this month,
The rest of the year and part of next year!

And this decision is not a light one at all, I hate this place, this is one of the most
Ghetto ass places I have ever been to, only came here to work, in Fishing industry
For the Over time etc.

If my older lab BUGGER who is now 12 ½ year’s old was
In excellent health, which he is not . He is beginning to have issues, with walking
Breathing, choking etc. AGE – that’s what the vet told me! I would pay to have
Him and Chill my Yellow Lab pup  – he is around 6 months old now, to have them
Shipped via ALASKA AIRLINES, and I would fly as well, if I could deal with it, which
Anymore I cannot deal with flying! Then I could have shipped my truck by barge to Seattle, WA
And then pick it up when the plane lands! Costing way more (Thousands more – barging the truck ) than my original plan of leaving
By boat, then docking in Bellingham, WA in just a few days from now!

A word to all Planeteers , if you come to Alaska you need to have a plan
To get home! Cause dang I thought I did, I Have a new plan now!
And in part, looking at zoning, rules, of what you can do with
Whatever land you buy, certain things need to be taking care of!

CCR’s , septic system has to be installed, have to follow all county rules,
Meaning, it’s going to cost me more, than I had thought it would.

45 years old next month, and maybe I actually have a financial plan
Which makes the most sense, gives me the most I can get out of it,
And is an answer to my issues, wish me luck X’rs!
Switching internet, so I May not be on the planet for a week or 2, until it gets turned on at his place!
Unless I Can get wireless on my phone and or lap top, someone else’s , not sure if that’s going to work??
