Head scratcher for me. I've been seeing a lot of advertising for terpene infused cones, which can be had for the Kmart Dollar Tree discount price of……oh, about 6.99 a tube. As you can see here (just an example; there are different flavors/terps): https://420packaging.com/products/raw-lemon-tree-terpene-infused-king-size-pre-rolled-cones-12-box

I (always) have questions. Is there any sense to this? There are already terpenes in your flower, and if you're not burning Mexican ditch weed you already get the benefit and taste of what's already there.

So much hype, but is this just a revenue boost for the dispensary or headshop? My Google search landed me on this particular page: https://abstraxtech.com/blogs/learn/why-terpene-infused-rolling-papers#:~:text=Terpene%20infused%20rolling%20papers%2C%20cones%2C%20wraps%2C%20and%20blunts%20enhance,for%20a%20completely%20new%20experience.

Noticed how this particular site seems to be courting distributors, but also is like "Hey end consumer, don't tell me you don't think twice about what kind of wine you want to pair with your dinner -red or white." I've drank some uppity wine in the past, but admit I've purchased MD 20/20 as well. Deciding factor might be who you drink it with, how much $$ is in your pocket, and how bad of a hangover can you endure.

I'm pretty well-read with some stuff, but I know of at least two people known to frequent TGL that know a whole lot more about cannabis flower and terpenes than I do. I'm just curious if there is any enhancement, other than taste, that should drive me or anyone else to pop for these expensive skins.

If what you are smoking already has a great terpene profile, is it overkill to use these cones (but wait, there's more! infused rolling papers too!)?
Could using infused cones/papers with different terpenes than your smoke create a negative experience? Like a peanut butter and baloney sammich?

Edit: If there is no tangible benefit from these products, I feel this paragraph from the abstraxtech site is pretty damn condescending:
"Terpene infused rolling papers are just like normal rolling papers…ok, maybe they’re not exactly the same. That’s like saying the plastic ring your kid keeps in their costume box is the same as a 24-karat diamond ring from Tiffany’s. They may look similar if you squint, but they are not the same."
