Hey all my fellow spicers!

I was really happy to find this forum because it validated that I wasn’t the only one struggling with spice and that I wasn’t crazy in that I really really liked it, more so than MJ.

It was good while it lasted, especially the first and even the second generation spice products that skyrocketed my head into the clouds. I’ve been feeling like I had to kick the habit though because I’ve been spending so much money on it and it was affecting my ability to relate to people and I can’t even form an intimate relationship. So last weekend was the last time I did it, on Saturday when I smoked everything I had. The couple of days immediately after were somewhat hard in that I was depressed, but that’s normal since my brain was just balancing out and I wasn’t used to coping with normal daily stuff without the help of spice or at least the thought that I’d be able to end my day with a relaxing spice experience and some netflix/porn/youtube, etc.

I feel really good this weekend and haven’t even thought about smoking it. All the stuff out there now is so weak and I felt like I was making myself sick constantly having to re-up with the latest generation which is nowhere near the potency of the stuff which hooked me in a year ago +.

I’m honestly glad the new stuff is as weak as it is, or maybe that my tolerance has gotten so high, because it’s just not economically feasible nor is it good to my health, which I know it never was. If the stuff out there was as good as before, I’d probably still be hooked like crazy. It’s gotten so bad that even Mr. Kosh’s double XXX is not enough after one evening where I’m constantly re-upping the next day and the next until I’m out. It was hell going without or knowing I’d have to go without because I’d know whatever’s left will last only a couple hours.

To everyone out there: Do you! I’m not going to bash on anyone who wants to keep on spicing because it’s your life and I wouldn’t want anyone trying to make me feel bad either, but if you’re prepared to stop good for you too!

I got to save money and I was getting out of control. My will power is not as weak as I thought…I just didn’t give myself the credit I needed. I’ve decided I’ll still do MJ once my tolerance to cannabinoids is low, which I know will probably take forever because of what I’ve done. But once I’m back, I want to keep MJ as a special treat for 4 -5 times a year where I plan to buy an eighth or quarter to  reward myself once every 3 – 4 months. I think that’s reasonable!

What are your experiences with going back to MJ? How long did it take some of you, those who’ve quit spicing, to get your tolerance back to MJ status?

Good luck, Bro.

About 14 days to start feeling some  effects with longer duration than spice.  That was using some really good mids.  I would not try AAA  MJ until you can start feeling mids or you will be wasting your money.

My friend who quit said it was about a month before he could feel anything from mj, and like two months before he was able to get high. Its been like 6 months since he quit, and i remember last month he told me that weed finally feels like it used to. So yeah, long road. Its why i havent quit yet, i got off parole not long ago, but weed just doesnt do anything. One of these days ill have to start that loong tbreak, but today is not that day.

Kudos to you! I support a person’s right to a heavy rip of what puts them in a happy headspace and hope that recreational MJ legalization becomes a reality in my lifetime.

The support is much appreciated! It sucks that it takes so long to get back to enjoying the real green. In a way, I think I need it so I can be totally sober for a while and get to know myself again without all that stuff. I’m 25 now and I have been just nearly a daily user of green & booze since I was 19, and now spice for the past 1 & 1/2 years except for a few week long breaks every now and then. I haven’t been totally without substances since I was a senior in high school and even my freshman year of college I was pretty disciplined. I’m lucky that I’ve been able to function so well and prioritize my daily responsibilities and go to a really good college and now work in a good place in a big city. I can’t say I’m a full blown addict if it’s not affected me so severely that I lose my job or couldn’t get through school, but I definitely have addict-like tendencies. I know I’m capable of a lot more. We all are. I know that after this big break once I’m comfortable that my tolerance is back to normal it’ll be sooo good to smoke a J or a phat bowl of something from God’s soil instead of something from who knows where. I’ve purposely never tried to understand or find out how spice is manufactured. It would probably freak me out!

I was where you were at maybe 1.5 years ago.. I was an addict of the JWH generation of blends, but I had smoked since Spice and Spice Gold came out.

I’ve had a year or so now without more than 2 times smoking MJ, no more than 2 hits each time, spaced many moons apart, and maybe 1 sample sent to me from a blend vendor.  That’s it for cannabinoids.

I feel ready to get back on the horse.  I’ve never been able to sleep right since I was a teenager, and I miss getting high a lot.  Maybe in a year or so, you can come back to it with the intention of smoking it more responsibly. (non-daily)

Hopefully I’m not making a mistake, but I feel like if I fall into my old patterns of smoking too much, all day, or being tempted to smoke before work, I’ll quit again with less problems than after several years of use like last time.

Congrats.

One thing I found useful to cut down on blends (if avail) is thc concentrates. Most fire buds don’t cut it anymore but if i smoke some oils (dabs,shatter,wax,bho,etc..) it can still tickle the sweet spot when trying to break from blends. I highly reccomend you drop theoney on an oil rig but if monies tight grab a bubble does same thing essentially. Pm me cause through help of various member I went from fiend to responsible mid-hard heard who can get a fix reasonably and not have to worry nearly as much about health hazards 🙂

I totally hear you. I went through nearly an ounce and a half of blends since the beginning of summer. My problem was that having so much on hand made me feel no problem with smoking all day, every day. I felt like a crackhead for the first few days because I was scraping resin and scouring the floor for bits I had dropped, but it’s been about a week now and not having anything in the house has been the key. If I do ever decide to go back I’ll only be purchasing one gram at a time. Stay strong my friend!
