This sucks. I wish you wouldn’t leave man. But I understand exactly why. People telling him he’s being dramatic are just wrong. Many around here seem to forget that just because we’re on the internet, you can still hurt people’s fucking feelings and that’s valid. It’s a bullshit argument to say that Oh we’re on the internet, don’t take it personal. Here’s an extreme example. I’m of mixed race, predominantly African American. If someone calls me the N Word, it’s bullshit to say, "we’re on the internet don’t take it personal". Words can hurt no matter where or in what form they are said. I’m not saying that anything nearly that drastic happened or was said, just giving an example. If you can’t understand that kind of sentiment I don’t know what to tell you. Some people just have more of an ability to disregard people’s feelings than others.

As for the banned chem thing and accusing other vendors, I have AlOT I could say about that but there’s not much of a point. I’m in no way saying that I know of any of our trusted vendors doing that but I will say that it’s a complex issue and no one is above that possibly happening to them. Not trying do defend or take ANYONE"S side too much. We all know how difficult the chem thing can be though. Most people selling chems just want the money and are willing to do and say alot of things to move their wares. Anyone can get something mislabeled, or straight up lied about etc etc. But I also understand exactly what Acid is saying. In certain situations I’d do the same.

I don’t think synester should leave, but I understand exactly why he feels the need to do so. He may have been overzealous and a bit heavy on his promotion of a certain vendor, but we all feel strongly about the vendors we love, and everyone seems to forget that this place is supposed to be a forum for blenders AND VENDORS. New and old. Nothing wrong with some variety. Ultimately, I understand to a degree people’s issues with some of the things he did and the way he came on here, but I think that he’s not the only one blowing this shit out of proportion.

And Queen what is up with the freak out? I don’t know exactly what you said to him through PM but if you did in fact say what he claims you said I understand him being upset by that and not seeing a message like that as trying to help him. You’re smart you could see that too. I don’t think you’d see it as someone trying to help if someone sent you a message like that. I’m not trying to give you or anyone else crap. Just try and understand his side a little bit. He feels like he’s getting shit from multiple angles and I think he just feels overwhelmed.

Anyway, I don’t think you should leave. I think EVERYBODY needs to calm way down and take a timeout. And I think all of us could stand to think a little more about what we type before we post it and how it’s going to make others feel, depending on what we’re discussing. I don’t know if anyone’s noticed cuz I haven’t been around for a bit, but I am trying to be better when I post about thinking hard about what I say and especially how I say it. Acid had to tell me that, and I’ll admit that at first I was having difficulty hearing that because I was getting some comments from others also and for a little bit I just felt overwhelmed and like I was getting attacked in a way, not saying whether that’s right or wrong. Just saying I think I understand how he might be feeling. Well that’s my two cents. Hope I did not bother or upset anyone with anything I’ve said.

It really is just the internet… and we really don’t know the guy.

Let me relate this to real life:

You’re hosting a party. Lots of friends are over. You’ve got all of your favorite beers and everyone is having a good time.
Some guy you don’t know shows up and starts acting the snob:

"Dude. MY favorite beer is *Whatever*. You guys all gotta try this brewery. This stuff is WAY better than what you have in that fridge. The owner of the brewery is really touchy, though, and will disappear if you say anything negative. So you better kiss his ass. He really is AWESOME, though, man! I can call him right now! He’ll make a delivery right to the party if you guys beg him enough!"

I could keep going, but that’s basically the start of the story. People may get annoyed with this guy who thinks he knows everything, keeps talking about his own favorite stuff, and doesn’t want to talk about anything else.

It wouldn’t be personal, it would just be a situational thing. If you met this guy in another setting, not involving the party…. he could be a totally cool dude.

I really don’t think anyone is attacking him, honestly. Just annoyed, a bit, with his one track posting.

Let me continue the scenario:
The guy chills out, stops trying to act the "know-it-all", and you start to realize he is cool.
You invite him to come back out next time you have a get together.

Lets not be so dramatic. No one is terrorizing Synester. He’s a big boy. If he wants to chill out and have a good time at the party, that’s on him.
You had a hard time for a bit as well, JB, you didn’t quit or make more drama. You just cleaned it up and now you’re a great member again.

If Synester wants to, he can do the same.

Acid sent me one and it is awesome.  The bonus fun part is the piezo lighter will occasionally shock the user.  Yikes!  the serpent doth have fangs!  Acid is freaking awesome btw.

Yeah, IQ pisses me off regularly, now I pretty much ignore her.  If a moderator PMs you take heed but don’t let anyone else piss you off.  I get about 50/50 fan mail and hate mail, but I’m not partibcularly concerned about external validation and on a forum of basically extended-extended family, it is unreasonable to expect everyone to get along all of the time. 

There are a few rules but there are only a few, and I have a feeling you have something useful to bring to the community. 

Don’t piss Tiberius off though.  He will freaking find you–you don’t want that!  Nuff said.
