I bought an ice maker from Amazon and it died just as i needed it brand new.

Amazon gave me a refund and a $50 amazon gift card.

2. I found out Amazon sells Lowe's gift cards for no extra charge.

3. I sent myself a $50. Lowes Gift card

4.  I went to lowes and bought a freezer I have been looking at for several weeks.

5. I bring the freezer inside and notice 2 small but nasty dents just below the right corner, almost out of sight but still its brand new.

6 I call lowes and ask for them to exchange it via delivery truck because I am partially disabled and don't want to try bringing in another chest freezer as
  well as bring the bad one back on my own. (I had help loading it at lowes.) Unloading is much easier and it has 2 built in wheels on one side.
  They inform me they can do nothing for me because all their trucks are tied up for the next 2 1/2 to 3 weeks.

7. I go on Twitter and complain to Lowes and the freezer manufacturer and get their management phone numbers DM'd to me the same day.

8. I call Midea corp and they apologize more times than I can count but cannot help. I called the Lowes number and by the end of the call
    I was on the list for a new delivery within 3 days. 😄😄😄

9. I called the local lowes and they were surprised to see me on their schedule in an open slot they had. After talking to the same appliance manager
    about the inconvenience of pulling my stuff and switching out freezers and tying up her drivers too.
    I offered to keep the freezer since it works fine if she gave me a discount  for the dents and then know one has to go anywhere.
  ( I wish this was an option on the first call but it was not and I did try.)
  Apparently once I was on their deliver schedule I had a bargaining chip on my side.

10. We talk about the dents and how it will still have a 1 year warranty. She gives me 50% of my bill, cancels my delivery and thanks me
    for working with her. After being an unbending tyrant before. By the end of it all my actual cost for the freezer was just under $55.00.
