do they have a good selection of electronic music? I have been actually buying mu music for some time, but my habit is getting expensive, Im up to almost 200 a week, and I have to get control of it or my wife is going to shoot me. If they have electronic music (house breaks etc) if you wouldn’t mind sharing an invite then I would be grateful, I was always good with seeding at demonoid and the magic torrent site I was a member of.

Oh hell yeah. They don’t have everything like remixes and what not, but a lot of that is usually free on other services, so that shouldn’t be a problem. You usually have an option in what format to download. All I ask is to make sure the torrent program you use is under the "white" list (I use utorrent version 2.2.1) and it could take some time to build up a buffer. Seed, seed seed and download torrents that are freeleaches to help build up your upload ratio. It takes time, but once you get a nice buffer, you’ll realize nothing beats this place. Demonoid was great.  Sorry but their search engine, massive library of torrents, and just about everything else were totally pimp.  Personally I had the entire Fangoria magazine archive running on there forever, but damn if I find pieces of it popping up all over in shittier torrent sites to this day.  Be nice to see how long it last this time.  Member in good standing since 2004… but alas, no passes to be had until things get stable according to the front page.

They helped changed torrenting for years, but when it comes to the best, true private torrent sites were by far the best. Sure, the sites I use have a lot more rules and they take some time to get use to, but once you get a buffer going, you will never go back. If you guys are interested in the story line of music torrent sites, look up OiNK’s Pink Palace. One of the greatest sites that ever lived. Sadly when it fell, the community split into two which became What.CD and Waffles.

Actually demonoid was pretty good for cracked programs and such.  The community was always good about calling out bad downloads and fixing problems/ answering questions in the comments..

I never really used it much for music or anything else.
Music I just use my select sites for new singles and albums, and just download them like that. No need to torrent music for me.

Movies I use torrentday, and have a speed.cd account but hardly use it.

Does anyone use KAT (kickasstorrents) or extratorrent.cc?

I used to be so obsessed with this stuff… now I can’t remember the last time I downloaded something from a private site. I still have all my accounts but just haven’t had a need to use them. No time for the fun stuff… and that’s what they are best for.
