I see users like BigDaddyBlends!? (we KNOW the story behind that) and some others that have been inactive for awhile (May?). Maybe not a good idea to leave accounts like this out there? I understand people like Deckard Cain and R (miss you broskis) staying out there but there is even a few that joined more recently before the cut and never posted at all. Makes me a bit concerned. I trust that our esteemed leaders know this and may have reasons to leave them but just the same I thought I’d point it out. I still don’t feel as comfortable as I would like to speak freely here…. hence the lower post count on my part.
Having said that love this place and check in every day even if I don’t post. :beers:

We will have to look into that.. About BDB, are you sure that wasn’t ‘Bob’s Bud’ you are thinking of?
I heard recently BDB has went MIA in the past couple weeks, so curious if you know why??
BB was the all epic story aka (2) guns aka bathtub bob aka jbudovernight… Done.
We definitely want everyone here comfortable with posting though!
I’m sure there are a lot of us that will become more comfortable as it pans out.
Feel a lot less exposed with the gates closed to be honest.
Now just to see how we should go about narrowing down.
Feel free to post thoughts about this as well, members.

I agree with JS that it makes good sense to review stagnant accounts on a periodic basis. Even if you don’t want to prune them, they could still be disabled pending further review. Warnings could go out before being disabled, and a simple policy could then be established to re-enable them later on if someone comes back around.
Regardless, I’m all for anything that keeps this place safe for all to enjoy. Cheers to going private! :beers:
Yeah my bad I had the two confused by the similarity in name. I would never hold back inside info if I even had it. I’m on the outside looking in but looking out for all of us here. 🙂

So how long is stagnant? Minimum post count? Does is matter if the member is vetted?

Not sure that post count is a good indicator as not everyone is a prolific poster. As for stagnant, not logging into the site for say 90 days would be the beginning of stagnant for me, as an example. I would say it definitely matters if a user has already been vetted, is well known, etc. Definitely would not want to be restrictive on such users. As JS suggests, I would be much more concerned about accounts that got in before the cut without someone to vouch for them, rarely logs in, posts little, etc.
MyManDan needs to get the AX!
he is nothing but a squatter now!
too bad. We like him.

I still log in and read here to see what’s going on, but I tend not to comment very much. I don’t come here as often as I once did, but I do still check in and read what’s new.
I am always up for chatting online with some new and interesting people. I don’t really PM too many people here much. If you see this and you’re interested in chatting or are bored and such. Please hit me up. I LOVE conversation.
It got me thinking when I saw one member that joined Oct 20 and has never posted but as others have said they may have had someone speak up on their behalf.

No older accounts are being deleted. We are already private and have screened and re-screened this place for rogue members. Some people only come here a few times a year and they are here to stay.
Our crew is working hard to assure our safety. We are in good hands.
