So my in-laws threw their family Xmas dinner on the 26th. Reasoning: You don’t have five other holiday dinners to go to the day after this one.

My brother-in-law has a bad habit of saying he will show up to a gathering, right up to the eleventh hour. My in-laws always have a gift bag for each family member/guest at their Christmas gathering -usually a couple practical items and a bottle of liquor. My wife’s bro can’t have alcohol as he’s already damaged his liver and quit drinking. Knowing this, and that he’s a daily toker meant that his gift would have no liquor included. Also, knowing his proclivity for being a no-show my mother in law told him if he stood us up his gift was forfeit. Well, she bought him a nice ounce of Gorilla Glue. He called to say he was going to be late, and his daughter told us not to be fooled -"he aint coming." So what became of his happy smoke? It got divided up into four quarters, and four happy campers got their gift bags home a quarter ounce heavier -including me. You can bet I couldn’t wait to call him up and thank him. It was nice rubbing it in, as we’ve prepared meals for him several times and got stood up (even though we knew what to expect from him). I think it was totally fitting.  :Smokey:
