I’ve been working doing some web design for Onlive.com. My best bud works for them and asked to bring me on the team to do some web design. Specifically, I’ve been tasked with doing an overhaul/redesign of the subreddit on Reddit.com in order to make it slicker and match better with the overall color scheme and look/feel of the Onlive user interface (UI). So far my friend and his boss (who is in charge of payroll/hiring) love what I’ve done. Right now, for my work, I’ve been gifted a few months free of their service which is pretty sweet. There’s still a lot to do, but I’m proud of it so far and wanted to share my progress:

Right now this has only been tested in the latest versions of the following web browsers: Firefox, Google Chrome/Chromium, Internet Explorer. Still have to test/tweak for Opera and Safari.

If you want to see what it looked like before I worked on it, just go to:

Take a look at what happens when you hover your mouse over the links, the tabs at the top, the buttons (if you go to comment if you have a Reddit account), when you click within a text box or text area to type, and the hyperlinks. I haven’t started on doing the very bottom of the page or the sidebar on the right-hand side of the page. I’ll be working on that later today. If you view this and you see something funky that means I’m in the process of actively editing/changing the layout, but that would only be on the side-bar or the bottom of the page. Everything else will stay as it is. I also have to change some of the image icons, but so far I’ve done all of the hard work.

I have to have this ready by Monday to show the Onlive art director and see if he approves of it. Eventually, when the final design is approved, it will show up in the official onlive subreddit.
