Hey all.  Wasn’t quite sure where to put this, but I thought it needed somewhere, so I guess GD is as good as any.

As a community, speaking for both blenders and our progenitor potheads, we’ve lost people.  Last I checked we were all technically front line ‘combatants’ in a 30-something year-old "war" unilaterally declared against our archetype, so I wanna put a shout out to all our brothers and sisters who have lost their lives (whether figuratively or literally) in pursuit of their own personal happiness, anyone else who disagrees be damned.

Besides the lives being wasted of our currently imprisoned brothers and sisters, I would like to speak for a specific someone who sadly never got a chance to become a Spicer.  He used to frequent other boards with us, and was a pretty cool dude.  His name was 1337beard.  Some of you may recognize his av:

I can’t even claim to have known him that well (not at all personally speaking),  but he was cool guy to converse and share our little hobby with, as I consider many of you. 

I guess I don’t have a lot of eloquence in me for this today, but wanted to say something on some of these people’s behalf all the same.  None of us are going to be here forever (in any sense), and what we do matters – if not for us, than for the lives of the ones we love, the ones whom we choose to associate with in our life’s challenges, and by far not the least – those yet to come, who may have no clue of any of our struggles, but will reap the results of them all the same – for good or evil. 

Here’s for 1337beard, for other stoners now passed by natural or manmade means, for the unjustly imprisoned, and for all others who still have the testicular fortitude to fight this good fight.  We haven’t forgotten you, and it ain’t over yet!
