Are you really supposed to watch what you eat when you have your gallbladder out jbmac? Got mine out like almost 10 years ago, and ive never watched what i ate. Maybe i should start

Awww You just gotta watch it to be sure it goes into your mouth when you are eating
My ex fiance got her gall bladder out & she says now she gets sick all the time (colds & flu mainly)
but hers was taken during her gastric bypass surgery.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gallbladder

"In vertebrates the gallbladder (cholecyst, gall bladder or biliary vesicle) is a small organ where bile is stored, before it is released into the small intestine. In humans, the loss of the gallbladder, in most cases, is easily tolerated by the body. The surgical removal of the gallbladder is called a cholecystectomy."

I don’t need a gallbladder; I keep my bile in a mason jar in the fridge. It’s a great conversation starter.

I remember when i had to get it removed. I was 14 and scared of needles. I had had the gallstones for months, but since i was so scared of everything doctor, i refused to get it checked out. Then i had a particulary bad attack that lasted most of a three day weekend. Monday morning i went to school and after first class everyones asking me why im yellow? I went to the nurse, who then took me to the hospital, turns out id had and neglected my gallstones so long my liver was starting to shut down. Fun fact – my surgeon said hed done thousands of these operations, but i was the first teenage male he’d ever had to do it on.
