I thought this was pretty funny….If you check out fema, homeland sites you can see they had similar training drills at sandy hook n 9/11 and also their were drills at boston…Too many people saying shit that doesn’t match up to media. I would take several runners/first hand witness reports over fox news or abc lol

Always a good idea anyway.  Avoid gatherings of government anything.  You know they are up to no good.

Woooo boy, I can’t WAIT to hear who the "suspect" is  ::) Homegrown terrorism? Al-Qaeda? Can’t wait to hear. My favorites are the "loose nut" or the "disgruntled" citizen.

2 – 3 suspects now.

One dropping a duffel bag in a store video.

Another two:

"A second federal official said he has been briefed that authorities believe a second video or photo shows “two men with two backpacks.”

A counter-terrorism official said the suspects were picked out because they were carrying black backpacks, as well as because of their demeanor and how they reacted to the bomb blasts. That official said authorities do not yet know the identities of those in the videos."

True or not IDK, but if it becomes true, then I am posting it now just in case.

Alright, this is what I found….

"I work on a security commission and Ive just received word to start campaigning on a campaign we’ve been working on and now it all makes sense.

I’ll keep it as short as I can.

They’re going to pin this on a male late teens to early 20s and say he did it because he’s unstable. They are going to find firearms and a NRA book in his home. They are going to say he used reloading powder for the explosion and that reloading powder shouldn’t be for sale to the public. They’re going to say that because the powder in ammunition can be used for explosions that the number of rounds you can buy should be limited and taxed to help pay for these events.

I can’t do anything or I’ll lose my job and possibly face criminal charges. Please don’t let them get away with it. They won’t find the suspect until later this week and the raid is issued to occur on FRIDAY. This was a staged event. The people hurt are real but the event was planned. Don’t let them hurt our rights."

Matthew Keys, the social media editor at Reuters, posted audio of a reporter asking White House Press Secretary Jay Carney if U.S. bombings that kill innocent civilians in Afghanistan constitute an “act of terror” given the labeling of the Boston Marathon bombing as “terrorism”. She specifically refers to a U.S. airstrike earlier this month that killed 11 children, just the latest in a seemingly endless line of Afghan civilian deaths at the hands of the U.S. government.

Carney completely dodged the questions, pointing instead to the 9/11 terrorist attacks to justify U.S. bombings in Afghanistan. After a long-winded answer excusing U.S. conduct, Carney concludes, “ we take great care in the prosecution of this war.”

Tell me, does this look like “great care” to you? (See Photo)
"The lifeless bodies of Afghan children lay on the ground before their funeral ceremony, after a NATO airstrike killed several Afghan civilians, including ten children during a fierce gun battle with Taliban militants in Shultan, Shigal district, Kunar, eastern Afghanistan, Sunday, April 7, 2013. (AP Photo/Naimatullah Karyab)"

I transcribed the exchange in full:

REPORTER: I send my deepest condolence to the victims and families in Boston. But President Obama said that what happened in Boston was an act of terrorism. I would like to ask, Do you consider the U.S. bombing on civilians in Afghanistan earlier this month that left 11 children and a woman killed a form of terrorism? Why or why not?

JAY CARNEY: Well, I would have to know more about the incident and then obviously the Department of Defense would have answers to your questions on this matter. We have more than 60,000 U.S. troops involved in a war in Afghanistan, a war that began when the United States was attacked, in an attack that was organized on the soil of Afghanistan by al Qaeda, by Osama bin laden and others and more than 3,000 people were killed in that attack.

And it has been the President’s objective once he took office to make clear what our goals are in Afghanistan and that is to disrupt, dismantle and ultimately defeat al Qaeda. And with that as our objective to provide enough assistance to Afghan National Security Forces and the Afghan government to allow them to take over security for themselves. And that process is underway and the United States has withdrawn a substantial number of troops and we are in the process of drowning down further as we hand over security lead to Afghan forces.

And it is certainly the case that I refer you to the defense department for details that we take great care in the prosecution of this war and we are very mindful of what our objectives are.

At the very least, this serves as another example of the utter meaninglessness of the word “terrorism”.

To equate this with a terrorist attack is pure foolishness. Im probably gonna take some shit for this but its two different things. These children were killed when a air strike was dropped on an on going gun battle with the Taliban, thats war. Is war pretty? No. Do innocent people get killed and maimed in war? Yes.  Ive fought in Afghanistan and after the fights we had to help the injured and find any corpses, its never pretty and noone enjoys it. But, with that being said, sometimes it is necessary. When you have guerrilla forces that make war and hide in the civilian population this is one of the sad side effects. If the fight was bad enough that an airstrike was callled, it had to have been very bad. Is there a difference between this and what happened in Boston, most definitely. The reporter you quote here was trying to score some cheap points, fuck her.

Yeah but c’mon…You should know since you had a tour or two….Air strike knowing they’re hiding inside a small town, etc is foolish. They knew what would happen and went for it anyways.  They could have gone other routes I’m sure.  Maybe throw the marines in their and let em handle it or the seals…But to just drop something down in the area where they knew they would kill civilians is fucked up.

Plus, I mainly posted this one cause I got a crack out of a reporter asking that question and calling them out at the white house and him bullshitting. Like he doesn’t know about that incident lol

I gotta side with Dime on this one.  If the Towlies weren’t hiding behind those 10 babies, we wouldn’t be having this discussion.  Bombing a bunch of people running a marathon doesn’t remotely compare to a running gunbattle/air strike in a country that’s been in a constant state of war for the past 40 years or so.

This is not to say it’s not tragic.  But the fact is that if we *didn’t* care about civvie casualties, we could’ve glassed the entire country in short order instead of spending the past 13 years camped out over there chasing a bunch of ass backwards Mullah-humpin’ goatherders all over "half of Helmland and the upper 40".  Would’ve been a lot less costly on us all around.

But that wouldn’t have made much money for the war profiteers, now would it? :-

This is why America is being so mired down in wars.  We seem to have lost the capability to realize that killing the enemy is the goal in favor of PC "nation building" (at which we’ve proven utterly inept, despite billions of dollars and American lives pointlessly shucked away).  Again, please see "war profiteer" comment above for further study.

I do think the reporter was just trying to get a minute of recognition for their crassness, as the question was not truly germane to the subject of the press conference.  That being said, the response was admittedly weak.  Gotta own your actions, good *and* not so.  If you can’t publicly stand behind something you’ve done, you probably shouldn’t have done it in the first place.  Especially when your entire job centers around answering exactly that type of question, and you are speaking for your government.

But back on topic…

A federal law enforcement source told Fox News that investigators are looking for two men that are persons of interest in Monday’s Boston Marathon terror attack and have distributed photos for “law enforcement eyes only.”

The FBI is not sharing the photos with the public.

A Fox News reporter has seen the photos and called them “clear.”

According to the reporter, one of the men has a backpack that appears to match the bag believed to have been used in the attack. The other man also appears to have a bag of some kind.

The source asked that the images not be made public for fear of jeopardizing the investigation

So…they say they have these photos of these guys…but they’re not going to show them on the news…because apparently 300 million Americans actually *knowing* who to look for would "jeopardize their investigation".

Ummmm….the only way I can think this possible, would be if their operatives had been ‘outed’. 😮

The longer this goes, the more it reeks.
