I have never liked the real herbalincenseguide.  It’s just really sketchy, and the reviews seemed mad biased.  They praise stuff that’s garbage, I’m sure they get something thrown their way for reviews. 

I hope the site is shut down, not sure it is doing any vendors any good being on there, just drawing attention to your products, but not in a good way.

Hit the nail on the head.  Vendors send the admin a HIG samples which he then sends out to the reviewers.  Mind you, also, that the reviewers are chosen by the admin.  I’ve always thought HIG was a shill, and Forest won’t convince me otherwise. 

Thanks for the input fuck that place if ya ask me. With the vendors getting busted on there, it was getting pretty shady around there anyways. Does anybody think we should stay small as a group? I dont want shady motherfuckers in or around our home,lot of lurkers on here alot an it kinda worries me……. :smoking-smiley-face:

I can tell you that our experience with them was very professional. I contacted the admin and never heard back. A month or two later he sent me an email letting me know that he was sorry and my message was sent to his Spam box. He was excited to have our products reviewed and never asked for anything. He did mention that they offer advertising packages but never pushed them on us.

They had a post on Facebook that they know they are down and trying to get it back up as soon as possible. Cant seem to find the post anymore.

my understanding for why none of the products I review have gotten a 5 or less as a rating in HIG is because i have yet to be sent any products that did not "get the job done" as they say. if a product can atleast get me there it deserves a 6+. anyway, like has already been stated, admin (hig’s admin) sends me and several others samples he sources then we review them. I’m sure there’s some bias as we are getting free stuff and it is being sent to use via the administration’s choice, but in general i’d say we just review what we get and do it as honestly as possible, fact is after I submit the review and it’s published I usaly don’t hear back from the vendors and my review stays the way it was written nothing is altered. having said that I try my best not the write anything but my persona opinion and not let the free stuff get in the way of writing an honest review.

also, I believe high rating to be the norm when vendors themselves are sending me product I assume I’m getting the stronger product because a positive rating is desired. So yeah the reviews them self are bias toward w/e the vendors them selves believe is their best products. basically  I review the products that are given to me  and i rate them based on my own opinion of them, I will keep doing this even if HIG where down for good, because I enjoy doing it.
