When did Ted start smoking? Ive read several interviews over the years where Ted referred to pot smokers in derogatory language and swore that he didnt smoke. If that happened thats cool Tibs but that makes him a straight liar and hypocrite :steamroller.

well all I can recall is there was three of us in the ICU we were from different units so we did not really know each other…one of the other guys was a Charlie (mortars) and the other was a medic..
we were at the Fort ord VA in Monterey Calif.
we were all hurting bad, Ted came in and sang two songs, somebody lit a joint and we passed it around, we all told our stories and cried for the brothers we lost, we ate pudding and watched a rerun of hee haw…because we couldn’t find the remote..
Then he hugged us and thanked us and said he loved us and left..it was a huge pick me up..I am not sure about the other guys but I was at the end of my rope and ready to give up.
I am not sure his political views ..I just know when I was dying he came and sang to me..
