Shocking I know, but after smoking Gold Rush until I could barely breathe the last 5 days… I’m just done. Looked in the mirror and saw it just wasn’t healthy for me. Normally I’m the king of moderation, but shit… I was completely in the throws of addiction… my feet swollen up… and looking quite homeless. I was to the point where I’d nap most of the day until I could toke up at night… then zone out to movies.
Back when I was on pot, I’d toke up and work. Do sculpting, painting, crafty shit, or play games… but as of late I had just completely shut down. When you’re smoking just to smoke… it’s a problem.
That said, I may be quitting blends… but not the board. More power to those who can still enjoy blends, but I feel my time with them is done. I just have so much more interesting things I could be doing.

My overall stance on all of this is that getting high should enhance your life, never replace it. Like you, I can burn the kind all of the time and still get the job done, though I really keep my professional and high life separated these days. Blends on the other hand are a causal indulgence for me as I imagine I would be quite worthless if I used them like MJ. Love their power for a thrill ride every now and again, but it is to be respected. Moderation is key for me, but to each their own.
I go thru a 7g pack about every month. To me just a few tokes on a cig bat daily is all I want. good luck bro.
I heard a rumor that someone I know very well who would never be inclined to do so dumped the whole Gold Rush onion after two small allergy tests the second culminating in a seizure. Emailed and asked if all new products had the same active before ordering again from said simian. And then The Dude we all loved disappeared. My take on this but without evidence that the cheap onion was just an attempt at cashing in and unloading a fucked up 5f purchase. You takes the chances, you pay the prices.

Good point. There’s no doubt that folks around here seem to appreciate the Dude and his wares. Could have simply been a bad reaction – everyone’s different.

Had a lot to say on this but not worth arguing with people that will defend a vendor (who I loved personally until it seemed like he no longer cared) that appears as frequently as Bigfoot over someone who has been here and on the lounge for years.
My friend was willing to continue with the vendor but basically got the hand to the face about it. Myself I’m not sure if I even care. I stopped blending once this last gen of crack noids hit the circuit.

The Dude is okay in my book, it’s just the current gen noids are nowhere near what I wish they were. When you have mummy throat, skip hygene, and eat salty foods till your feet swell… that’s an issue. Had I not gone on a binge, I probably could have stretched my stash out to last till January… normally a bowl or two would appease the beast.
That said, I haven’t done shit the whole time I’ve had the stuff… even games. Shit… I love me some games… but I couldn’t even muster up the willpower to play ANYTHING anymore.
I liked the Gold Rush and went through the entire oz in about two months, but my wife had a bad reaction to it. All she needed was one of the larger yellow leaves or two small ones and she was all set, but the one time she had a little more than that she got the fear for nearly an hour.
The GR was energizing to me. There were some weekends I’d burn it all day long (every 30 minutes or so), and my garage and basement had never been so clean! I emailed the Dude in (I think) early September to ask about another oz but never got a reply.
Not going to get into a big dissertation…who wants that….we all have a choice, and I think you made the right one for you. I made the same choice as you few years back and you will rebound very soon. If ya ever need to yap about it feel free to PM me. :goodpost
